Speaking of my friend Meta, we have many similarities: for example, we both love reading and helping friends. What’s even more interesting is that Facebook also gave us a unique blue tick…
To be honest, I have forgotten when I met Mehta! But Facebook says that she and I have 409 mutual friends, which shows that not only are we in the stratosphere, but we also have many like-minded friends. Since the previous “One Book, One Viewpoint”, I have often watched the live broadcasts hosted by her. Later, after becoming more familiar with it, I often listened to Mehta talk about the heartwarming stories between her and the group of VVIPs.
Well, it seems that it was agreed upon. I just published a new book “[Content-Inspired Marketing]” (https://www.books.com.tw/exep/assp.php/vista/products/0010838761?utm_source=vista&utm_medium=ap-books&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-202004) in November last year (2019) ”, now she has taken over the baton and launched the latest masterpiece “Altruistic Passbook: Accumulate every day, what you give will eventually come back”. I am very happy to have the opportunity to read this masterpiece first and share my reading experience.
Well, what is altruism? According to Wikipedia, altruism (English: altruism, which can also be translated as altruistic behavior) is derived from the French altruisme. The origin of the word can be traced back to the Italian and earlier Latin alter, which means other, others. Altruism is a selfless act of thinking about the welfare of others. In terms of moral judgment, the happiness of others is more important than one’s own. Altruism is a virtue in many minds and cultures.
I agree that the happiness of others is sometimes more important than your own happiness. Just like Mehta’s cheerful personality, she writes in “[Altruistic Passbook: Accumulate every day, and what you give out will eventually come back]” (https://www.books.com.tw/exep/assp.php/vista/products/0010855821?utm_source=vista&utm_medi um=ap-books&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-202004)” This book points out straight away at the beginning, hoping to help readers find the rules of life direction through altruism, then make altruism a habit, and finally create a good luck principle that upgrades abilities through altruism.
The so-called “let go of your ego and start to be altruistic” is undoubtedly a noble spirit of character, and the taste in it is worth pondering. In other words, altruism is not only a valuable sentiment, but everyone should think about it and practice it in their daily lives.
Mehta, who has always been outspoken, also generously shared his views on money in the book, which made me feel the same way. You know, many people in this world tend to have a biased view of money - either they are afraid to talk about money, or they think that making money can only be done but not talked about… Well, this is not necessarily the case.
Mehta pointed out that in fact, money is not just something that can be earned from outside, but also something that each of us must truly feel is worthy of reward after hard work. When you live your life and are able to fearlessly express your true self, all the abundance we need will find your way.
Just as the COVID-19 epidemic is raging around the world, the economies and politics of various countries have been severely impacted. We live in a global village, and Taiwan is no exception. Although the recession in all industries has made many friends feel panic-stricken, I feel that this moment is undoubtedly a turning point and the best time for everyone to face up to and promote altruism.
Someone said: “Your years are peaceful, but there are people carrying the burden for you.” There is indeed some truth to this, and we should all be content and grateful. Therefore, I am not only happy to recommend to you Mehta’s new book “[Altruistic Passbook: Accumulate every day, what you give will eventually come back]” (https://www.books.com.tw/exep/assp.php/vista/products/0010855821? utm_source=vista&utm_medium=ap-books&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-202004)》, and I hope that everyone can use their altruistic spirit to make Taiwan’s future better!
