Attending this “Content Hacker” Lecture gave me the feeling of practicing two sets of content mentality and writing skills together. V University introduced copywriting skills (terminal writing), and Bai Xiong also shared how to create content marketing strategies (mental methods). Originally, I just came to listen to content marketing strategies, but in the end I came home with various tips and tricks on writing skills that I can actually use in writing, which feels really good.

After listening to this lecture, I was able to progress from the initial strategy formulation to the actual writing practice. It can be said that all the techniques that can be used are taken into account, which is really considerate.

The biggest gain from this lecture is “strategy”

──Not only content marketing requires strategy, writing also requires strategy.

1. Writing requires strategies

  • Create a copywriting pyramid

  • Strategy (Strategy)

  • Outline (tactics)

*Writing, story (combat skills)

To put it simply, before writing an article, you can lay out the layout and work out the strategy, then draw up an outline based on these key points, and finally tell the story or convey the point of view through writing. Business writing is different from literary creation, as long as you can express your ideas fluently to the audience.

Therefore, the formulation of content strategy is very important! As long as you lay out the outline first, that’s pretty much it. Let’s think about what the main points of the article want to convey? Who do you want to tell (TA)? What features, advantages and benefits there are must be stated in detail in order to achieve the goal.

As for many people worrying about poor writing skills or not being good at telling stories, I think this is secondary and can be improved through practice. Hearing this, I seemed to hear the sounds of nature! Well, these words are really a big encouragement to people like me who are not good at writing!

2. How to formulate a content marketing strategy

  • Set goals

  • Set target audience

  • Find connections

  • Presentation type

  • Release pipeline

I think the most powerful and complicated thing is to find the correlation. In other words, what does the target object (TA) care about and want, and what are the problems that need to be solved? Does it match the characteristics of the products and services we want to sell? Also, are there any similarities between potential customers and our company’s culture and founder’s characteristics?

Through these relationships, we can find out the context of communication and the entry point for content production, and then we can generate the content. Through this kind of logical thinking, the articles we write will not appear empty or blunt, and we can naturally win the attention and trust of readers or potential customers, turn them into enthusiastic fans, and finally facilitate transactions.

The most different thing about this lecture is the on-site practice

V University directly led everyone to practice the FAB rules of content marketing and the elevator briefing copywriting method, while Baixiong led us to formulate content marketing strategies on the spot. He made the five processes into a form for everyone to fill in directly; in this way, a unique content marketing strategy can be developed.

What’s even better is that Teacher Baixiong also led everyone on the scene from step one to step three of the entire process (unfortunately, due to lack of time, we can only practice the latter part at home), and invited students to share.

The benefits of on-site practice are obvious. In addition to allowing you to think about how to write, you can also learn from other people’s sharing and teacher’s guidance how to write a good article that resonates. Or are there any areas that can be improved?

For example, the persona description of emotional care for the elderly with cancer was mentioned in the lecture, which set a good example. In this way, while writing and using my brain, I can also hear other students’ cases and the teacher’s immediate feedback, which is a good learning experience for me.

For me, only by writing it myself can I know the key points and my own blind spots. For example, the third point of finding connections and establishing connections is difficult for me. I have to go through the teacher’s explanation and practice more on my own to break through.

Not only practice, but also quickly taught me a lot of writing skills

For me, there was an unexpected surprise in attending this lecture, that is, in addition to on-site practice, the teacher also shared a lot of copywriting skills.

Although I went through it quickly due to lack of time in the lecture, these sharings are very useful, such as - elements of copywriting, how to catch people’s attention, commonly used methods of solving problems in V universities, how to write company or personal introductions, [FAB rules of content marketing] (https://www.vistaschool.today/2015/11/feature s-advantages-benefits.html), the structure diagram of copywriting, what are the characteristics of good copywriting, the magic weapon for persuading potential customers, the elements of how to stimulate consumer desire, marketing tips, copywriting that can impress potential customers, how to attract people to buy, making use of the elevator briefing copywriting method, precautions for writing copywriting, and a list of checking the charm of copywriting, etc.

Well, this information is really rich. Not only will it be of great help to my future writing, the various materials provided in the lecture are also of great reference value.

The teaching methods of V University and White Bear are full of enthusiasm, and they are willing to share their experiences with everyone. It is not the style of “I am very powerful and have done many cases, worship me!” but the spirit of “I have done a lot, let me share some experiences with you to prevent you from taking the wrong path.” I sincerely thank the two teachers for the lectures, which gave me more confidence in creating content marketing strategies.

By the way, the “Content Hacker” website run by V Dai and Shirokuma has a lot of treasures. You must remember to dig for treasures, but don’t come back empty-handed! Also, V University’s online course “[Content Power: The Super Power of Building Brands] (https://goo.gl/qNZYf6)”, which is currently in the fundraising stage, is also worth recommending. Well, everyone, come and be classmates with me!
