Although everyone knows that writing is the best self-investment, there are still many friends who regard writing as a daunting path. As a lecturer who teaches copywriting and content marketing, I have always felt that writing is not that difficult. Different from literary creation, workplace writing actually has a context and methods to follow. After listening to my friend Zewen’s sharing, I believe this truth even more. In this social era, writing is just the basic skill of “Content Marketing”! As long as you master the principles of Xizhong, the road to content creation is no longer difficult.

Following the last K University’s wonderful sharing, on the evening of January 26, I listened to a lecture on the theme of “The First Lesson of Content Creation” given by my friend [He Zewen] (https://www.facebook.com/W.Herder) at the [Business Thinking Academy] (https://www.bizthinking.com.tw/).

I have known the young teacher Zewen for a while, and we got connected through an interview with him (interested friends can read here); and for this reason, My Story has the honor to be featured in his new book “[Achieve Your Future You: 36 Accurate Career Lessons, Create a Life That Must Be Yours!”] ](https://www.books.com.tw/exep/assp.php/vista/products/0010862622?utm_source=vista&utm_medium=ap-books&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-202101)》, it can be said that it is a great honor.

I still remember that before the theme lecture started, the host of [Business Thinking Academy] (https://www.bizthinking.com.tw/) asked everyone if they had encountered any problems in content creation? For me, who usually teaches copywriting and content marketing courses in companies, public sectors, and universities, content production is a fairly familiar field. In other words, content creation can be said to be my hobby and profession, so it won’t cause too much trouble.

Despite this, I still learned many interesting writing ideas and systematic thinking from the two-hour wonderful sharing that night, which can be said to have benefited a lot!

For example, although the writing skills are similar, Teacher Zewen is able to integrate various knowledge contexts and explain his creative thinking to everyone in a simple and profound way. Well, this alone is quite commendable!

As for his new approach, he used his unique “word-making creativity” to develop novel terms such as: ROA analysis, the Orc Law, the DCK Law, the IPAD process of cultivating fans, and the POEM structure for managing personal brands. Not only is it interesting and easy to remember, it really aroused enthusiastic responses from many students.

I feel that writing is somewhat similar to creation, both of which require bold attempts and careful verification. As mentioned in the article, by experimenting with your work as a minimum viable product (MVP), you can naturally test the target audience’s acceptance of your insights and opinions, and get real feedback from it.

In this busy society, to be honest, we usually input a lot (whether deliberately or unintentionally), but when it comes to thinking and output, it is obviously not proportional! Therefore, I often encourage my friends around me to practice more production and output, and to write down their opinions responsibly with enthusiasm. Well, don’t be afraid of making mistakes or not writing well, as long as you practice more, you will get better!

Just like the Japanese potential coach Chihisa Ikuta in “[Mediocre people copy notes fiercely, talented people write diligently: 6 kinds of power to be transformed within 24 hours](https://www.books.com. tw/exep/assp.php/vista/products/0010528202?utm_source=vista&utm_medium=ap-books&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-202101)” mentioned in the book, “In fact, the most important thing is to use information. Follow the rule of “input 20%, output 80%”, and write down your experience diligently.”

Therefore, in recent years, I have switched from input mode to output mode. I no longer just desperately absorb information, but do not know how to summarize, organize and output. Through Zewen’s sharing, and seeing how he has continued to write columns, publish books, hold events, and run the community in a lively way over the past few years, it is really not easy, and it has inspired me a lot!

After listening to the entire theme lecture, I felt that the first step to devote myself to content creation is to start with “the courage to output and share”!

Some classmates from the college also asked me privately: Aren’t you also teaching writing? Do you still need to listen to this theme lecture?

In fact, as a professional lecturer and corporate consultant, you need to constantly learn and recharge. I have heard many cases about “[Curse of Knowledge](https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/The Curse of Knowledge)”. In order to avoid making this mistake, I always remember to remind myself to think and think from the perspective of a beginner when extracting knowledge.

“[Curse of Knowledge](https://wiki.mbalib.com/zh-tw/Curse of Knowledge)” means that once we know something ourselves, we will suddenly find it difficult to imagine what it would be like not to know it?

In recent years, whether through “Vista Writing Companion Program” or open classes, internal corporate training and other courses, I have accompanied thousands of friends to improve their writing. For me, writing is more like a daily routine in which I can get a lot of fun, rather than trouble.

Although it is said that “I write with my hand and my mouth”, I still dare not forget the uneasy feeling I felt when I was young and had my first glimpse of [the writing method] (https://www.writing.vc).

Thank you to Business Thinking Academy for the course planning, and thank you to Teacher Zewen for sharing without any secret.

In order to facilitate myself to review the past and learn new things, I made a mind map for this theme lecture. Interested friends are welcome to refer!
