Recently, a topic “Guess Occupation” has become popular on Facebook, asking everyone to guess which of the ten jobs they have “worked and earned income” is fake? This event quickly received enthusiastic response in the stratosphere, and everyone began to review and take stock of their past career development.
I also caught up with this craze and listed [many jobs] (https://opinion.cw.com.tw/blog/profile/499/article/9316) that I have done, such as: electronic engineer, assistant to the general manager, product manager, programmer, reporter, marketing manager, editor-in-chief, website producer, community editor, and product director…
In fact, I have done far more jobs than these, but the above-mentioned occupations alone are enough to outline the general outline and aspects of my career. Looking back on my many years of work experience, although I have been criticized by my elders for frequently changing jobs, thinking about it afterwards, maybe such a career is not bad?
Having said that, because I have worked in a variety of jobs with very different attributes, I often have the opportunity to compete with experts in different fields. Not only can I enrich my horizons, but I can also learn a lot of valuable industry experience.
So, before I saw Tiffany. Tiffani Bova’s new book “[Essential Adaptive IQ for 800 CEOs around the world]” (https://www.books.com.tw/exep/assp.php/vista/products/0010852688?utm_source= vista&utm_medium=ap-books&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-202004)》, my eyes were first attracted by her eloquent experience: Thinkers 50 Radar’s most influential management thinker of the year, LinkedIn’s top sales expert to watch of the year, iTunes Top 100 Business and Marketing Podcasts, Tech Magazine’s Top 100 Women, and contributor to well-known media such as Harvard Business Review, Forbes, Entrepreneur, and Huffington Post…
Several memories of my previous work in the media suddenly came to mind. I still remember that at that time, I was the editor-in-chief of a technology and finance magazine. Because of my work, I often had the opportunity to interview outstanding entrepreneurs, scholars and celebrities from all over the world. I had close contact with this group of professionals with specialized knowledge, and I was able to communicate and learn from each other.
The backgrounds of these professionals are completely different. Although not all of them may have dazzling academic qualifications or family backgrounds, they have similar characteristics and can often reveal extraordinary conversation and insights during interviews. As the saying goes, “Rome was not built in a day,” I firmly believe that the success of these friends is no fluke, and their history of struggle is also impressive.
I think the author of this book, Tiffany. Isn’t Bova the same kind of person? She served as a public official at the international research and consulting organization Gartner An analyst and researcher at the company, she is now a growth innovation evangelist at Salesforce. Her years of work experience have allowed her to develop a macro perspective. Not only can she grasp the context of various industries in detail, but she also has her own unique discussion and method for corporate growth strategies.
A comprehensive review of “[Essential Contingency IQ for 800 CEOs around the world]” (https://www.books.com.tw/exep/assp.php/vista/products/0010852688?utm_source=vista&utm_medium=a p-books&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-202004)” is a business management book. The author uses the ten growth paths needed by enterprises as the starting point. Each path provides a wealth of cases and also explains the points worthy of attention, which is of great reference value.
Book mentions many companies such as Starbucks, Netflix, Under I believe everyone is familiar with Armor and Spotify, etc.; but what is commendable is that the author does not just tell you stories, or break down the key to success or failure. In my opinion, the best thing about this book is that it organizes the ten growth paths and can find new ways to boldly propose unique insights and key points that we can learn from.
These ten growth paths include:
*Customer experience
- Customer base penetration
- Accelerate market expansion
- Product expansion
- Diversification of customers and products
- Optimize sales
- Reduce customer churn rate
- partnership *Coopetition strategy
- Unconventional strategies
The ten approaches mentioned in the book represent different aspects that enterprises must focus on. What is particularly commendable is that the author puts customer experience first, which shows that he attaches great importance to customer experience, which I also deeply appreciate.
\\Tiffany. Bova explains the top ten growth paths //
Although she shared a variety of growth paths in her book, she did not forget to remind everyone that if you get lost in the blind pursuit of growth, you may also risk losing your core soul. Therefore, business operators must always keep in mind their original intentions and know how to use Net Promoter Index (NPS), [Customer Satisfaction](https://www.brill-group.com/document/%E9%A1%A7%E5%AE%A2%E6 %BB%BF%E6%84%8F%E5%BA%A6csat-customer-satisfaction/) (CSAT) and Voice of Customers (VOC) and other surveys to focus on customers’ real thoughts and give specific responses. [This book](https://www.books.com.tw/exep/assp.php/vista/products/0010852688?utm_source=vista&utm_medium=ap-books&utm_conte nt=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-202004) In addition to the introduction of the top ten growth paths, there are many details worthy of praise. For example, the exquisite illustrations are quite eye-catching, and the key essence and successful IQ quotes attached after each chapter have a summary effect and attracted me to savor it carefully. Every time I read it, I have a different feeling. It feels like I am back in the era of media services, where I often had conversations with successful business owners.

At this moment when the COVID-19 epidemic is raging, perhaps the only unchanging truth for the global industry is to find a way to survive in this changing VUCA era. When everyone is looking for opportunities and secrets for continued growth, we need more wisdom and courage to face the “black swan effect” and even various oncoming challenges.
