Speaking of Flickr, Instagram and Fab, these three well-known Internet entrepreneurial cases, you may be familiar with them, and even talk about their success stories! In particular, the mobile photo sharing software [Instagram] (https://vista.tw/archives/2012/04/11/1158), which was sold to Facebook for US$1 billion in April this year, has become the focus of global media. No matter how you look at it, this is an incredible achievement for a new start-up that was founded less than two years ago!
What’s interesting is that these three successful entrepreneurial cases, although they appear to be prosperous on the surface, have experienced ups and downs. Flickr, which has been around the longest, was originally intended to be an online game where tens of thousands of people could connect; Instagram, which is so popular, was just a location-based software at the beginning. Fab, which was just launched last year, is a social networking site specially created for gay friends. In other words, their initial plans were not impeccable, let alone perfect, but the good news was that these three entrepreneurial teams were able to make drastic changes, immediately change the direction of their entrepreneurship, and then find their own great path.
Looking back at Taiwan, after several years of downturn after the Internet bubble, we have finally seen a resurgence of entrepreneurship in recent years. Fortunately, the domestic entrepreneurial environment (including venture capital and incubation) has become more mature, and these outstanding new entrepreneurial teams also know how to take advantage of the situation, continue to improve work goals and reduce unnecessary waste. In just ten years, many differences have emerged between the two generations of entrepreneurs. Everyone has begun to know how to save costs and value user experience; in short, they have followed the Lean Startup concept advocated by Eric Ries since 2008.
When it comes to Lean Entrepreneurship, the two concepts that everyone is most familiar with are Pivot and Minimum Viable Product (MVP). The aforementioned Flickr, Instagram and Fab have all successfully implemented Pivot, and there are also successful cases in Taiwan: For example, Mia Network Technology, which recently received venture capital funding, originally built a campus social platform similar to Facebook, but in recent years has transformed and invested in the development of [CPA advertising platform] (http://offerme2.com), and finally won the favor of well-known venture capital investors.
The practice of MVP is also very important for new start-ups. We have just won the Asian Entrepreneurship Grand Prix in Japan. Award) Third Place Justaple team, the company was founded not long ago and quickly launched a web storage service that is in demand by the public. It is also willing to listen to various feedback from users and use it as a guideline for improvement. After continuous efforts, they are finally looking forward to spring. Not only have they been highly recognized by professional entrepreneurship competitions, but they are also expected to successfully enter the Japanese market in the future.
If you are still unclear about the charm and implementation guidelines of Lean Entrepreneurship, it is recommended to read “[Lean Entrepreneurship]” (https://www.books.com. tw/exep/assp.php/vista/exep/prod/booksfile.php?item=0010547374)》This book, I believe you will be like me. Not only do you like the spirit of continuously improving a certain transaction process, but you are also willing to implement it yourself!
