Recently, Tanya participated in the “Seven-day Lightning Writing Camp” organized by Teacher Vista. I originally thought that I could learn more writing methods and techniques in it. But what you actually get is far more than that!
This is my first time attending a writing camp at my own expense. Regarding Teacher Vista, I have long admired his name. More importantly, the price of the writing camp is so affordable, so Buddhist, and so approachable! 😍
After joining “Seven-day Lightning Writing Camp”, I discovered that the world of writing is as vast as the sea, and there are still many things to learn. The teacher taught us a lot of tools, but it still takes some time to actually digest and apply them.
The content of “Seven-day Lightning Writing Camp”, in addition to the replayable online course, also has a writing group.
Here, we can meet a group of writing enthusiasts. In the group, students can ask questions, and Teacher Vista patiently encourages and guides everyone.
One morning, a student raised the issue in the group that time was fragmented and he was unable to concentrate on studying and writing.
Unexpectedly, not long after, Teacher Vista produced an article to answer students’ questions, and also attached an AI-generated picture.
When I saw the teacher’s post, I was really shocked! This is so efficient! What surprises me even more is that this article was written by a teacher while having a meeting!
At this time, I could only look far away and thought to myself, the teacher is indeed a great master in the writing world! Sure enough, most writers are also masters of time management!
In addition to being enthusiastic and giving complete answers to students’ questions. The teacher also kept asking us many questions from time to time.
Looking back on the interaction between the teacher and everyone during the writing camp. Part of what I recently read in the book “The Courage to Speak” is almost exactly the same!
The book mentions four steps on “how to share your heroic story”:
- Understand the needs of your audience first.
- Ask questions and encourage interaction.
- Start with a thank you.
- Communicate sincerely, give answers, and meet the deeper needs of the audience.
It turns out that on the surface, many of the teacher’s seemingly innocent actions are actually supported by deeper theories. It’s just that my Taoism is too shallow and I can’t see it!
During these seven days, the teacher gave us many different tools and tips. It gave me clearer guidance for future study and the direction of my efforts.
