You must find someone who understands your major

In the industry for more than 20 years, I have watched it transform from a traditional beauty salon into the SPA industry that everyone calls SPA. Nowadays, the industry is changing, and I often think about how to lead companies to break through the traditional strategy of attracting customers by handing out leaflets and selling low prices.

Yesterday, I accepted an exclusive interview with United Daily News (udn) with [Tina] (https://www.facebook.com/zhimi.tina), the founder of Zhimi Cross-Strait Women’s Exchange. We talked about the hard work in starting a business. This reminds me of the difficulty we faced a few years ago when we were unable to find customers, so it also prompted me to start studying management and E-generation marketing skills, hoping to bring new thinking and practices to the students who come to visit me.

Speaking of the development of the E-generation community, I am deeply impressed. I also want to learn to communicate with the E generation, so I take this opportunity to talk to you about a course that I found very useful recently: this is “Social Marketing Branding Technique” taught by Zheng Weiquan (Vista). Let me briefly share the class notes and experiences with you!

In terms of the traditional customer guide model, the way we guide customers is to stand on the roadside and hand out flyers and send text messages to inform them of promotions. Or, give a small favor by sending facial tissue to make consumers remember. Some companies even send emails to let customers know about the company’s latest news… However, these methods have long been outdated, and many entrepreneurs have begun to use social media to spread their messages to build and market their personal brands.

Although Facebook or LINE are very convenient, are they the only channels for customers to get to know you? Taking Teacher Zheng’s class also allowed me to reorganize my thinking. Indeed, if we only rely on a single channel to market our brand, it is actually risky. What should we do if we lose it one day? And how to continue the footprints accumulated here in the past?

You are the brand, start building it now

According to the teacher’s suggestion, let me think about ways to build personal brand:

1. First, re-confirm and position your personal brand or community positioning. What is your positioning in the minds of consumers? Don’t just use your own language and speak words that others can’t understand. It can’t just be promotion. We should establish our own unique positioning and win the favor of consumers with characteristics that cannot be replaced by others.

2. Start customizing communication tools that suit your own personality and temperament. There are so many platforms in the world, which platform should we choose? Think about Facebook, blogs, Instagram, LINE, LINE@, WeChat, Weibo, Youku and YouTube. In fact, there is absolutely no shortage of useful platforms and digital tools. As long as you clarify the profile of your customer base and understand their needs in advance, you can choose the right platform and method that suits you.

3. Write the content of your products and services and infect people’s hearts through content marketing. I often browse blogs, and when I read bloggers’ articles, I discovered that everyone has the ability to write, but true knowledge requires a deep understanding of fans’ mentality and needs, and their depth and skills. Teacher Vista said that copywriting cannot rely solely on inspiration, but requires more observation, and writing also needs a structure.

These words really wake up the dreamer! In this era of information explosion, it may take you less than a second to decide whether you want to read a certain article? In other words, if you want to create an attractive article, then the title, content, and publication frequency all need to be carefully planned!
