As a blogger and freelance worker, I often read Michael. Michael Hyatt(Michael Hyatt), which also includes his previous book “The King of Bloggers Teaches You to Turn Fans into Money”. I often read his e-newsletters and even go to the “Platform University” he runs to learn about the latest business thinking.

Well-known writer John. Maxwell (John C. Maxwell) has a saying: “Sometimes You Win, sometimes you learn.” Well, this is really a great attitude towards life. I also understand the truth of “Life is either gained or learned.” It is precisely because there are enough failures that life is interesting.

Michael. Michael Hyatt mentioned in the book the importance of writing down goals, which is very critical to success because:

  1. Help you clarify what you want.
  2. Writing out your goals can help you overcome resistance.
  3. Will inspire you to take action. Writing your goals down is just the beginning.
  4. Can filter out other opportunities.
  5. Allows you to see—and celebrate—your progress.

I agree with these five reasons, especially the fourth one. The author mentioned that the more successful you are, the more opportunities will come to you, but these new opportunities are likely to quickly pull you away from your original path. The author’s advice to everyone in “[The Best Year: 5 Steps to 100% Achieve Goals, Make Plans No Longer Empty Words] (https://goo.gl/UQ8eSG)” is very clear, which is to always keep a written list of goals in hand so that you can properly evaluate these new opportunities. Establishing your priorities will help you avoid the so-called “novelty syndrome.”

Reading this also reminds me of Warren Buffett and his private jet pilot Mike. Story by Mike Flint. Once, he and Buffett were discussing his career goals, and Buffett asked him to write down the 25 most important goals. Buffett then asked him to review the list and circle the five goals he considered most important. Now, Mike has two lists. One list contains the five goals that he considers to be the most important, and the other lists 20 other things that are also important.

Buffett asked him: “Do you know what to do now?”

Mike replied: “I know that I will start working on achieving these five goals immediately. As for the other 20 goals, they don’t seem so urgent, so you can do them when you have time and slowly achieve them.”

After hearing this, Buffett immediately said: “No, Mike, you are wrong! Those goals that you have not circled, you should do your best to avoid executing them - you should avoid them like the plague. Before you complete the five most important goals, you should not spend any time on these things.”

For me, this book came at the right time. Not only because 2019 is coming, this book is just the right time to review and look forward; but also because the author of this book uses his rich consulting experience to teach us how to design our own future and how to achieve it step by step.

In addition, I also appreciate Michael. Michael Hyatt is positive and open-minded about life, and I hope to learn from his professionalism and enthusiasm. I am very happy to hear that his new book “[The Best Year Ever: 5 Steps to 100% Achieve Your Goals, Make Plans No More Empty Words] (https://goo.gl/UQ8eSG)” has been published in Taiwan. I am happy to recommend it to everyone.

I believe the upcoming year will be great!
