Presentation Hacking has evolved again, allowing you to become a presentation master

Why did the author write this article? In fact, the idea was to share how to apply the concept and spirit of “Growth Hacking” in Business Presentation.
Due to past workplace experience and professional development background, the author has traveled in different fields; from statistical theory to program writing, from data analysis to [strategic marketing] (https://www.contenthacker.today/2018/01/chl3-note1.h tml), from visual design to business presentations, I have become accustomed to switching between different roles.
Also because of my interests and job requirements, mutual understanding and interaction with people from different backgrounds have become one of the author’s professional abilities. During the process, a question I often thought about was: How can the methods and knowledge in this field be applied to other fields?
What is Briefing Hack and can I eat it?
“The essence of Presentation Hacking is to find all feasible and necessary ways to make the presentation achieve its purpose under limited resources.” This is my interpretation of Presentation Hacking.
Everything in business has a cost, including presentations. The author often says that the purpose of business briefings is nothing more than conveying information, persuading communication, and reaching consensus, but they all have one thing in common, which is to “solve problems.” Solve your problems (delivering information), solve my problems (persuading communication), solve each other’s problems (reaching consensus), and even need to go further to “call to action”.
From a problem-solving perspective, costs begin to arise when we realize the existence of a “problem”; and briefings are one of the tools used in the problem-solving process, which means that briefings are not necessarily used.
However, if a briefing is needed to help solve a problem, from a business perspective, it hopes to accomplish the goal faster and more easily with limited resources. The so-called resources include time, manpower, material resources, money, etc. Is it possible to achieve the purpose of a business presentation with limited resources? To achieve the same effect, can we use fewer resources?
To sum up, the specific practice of “briefing hacking” has emerged; but this name and meaning are only summarized by me recently.
Inspired by growth hackers
In the past two years, Growth Hacking can be said to be the most prominent science of Internet marketing. With a background as a marketer, I naturally didn’t miss this trend and did some research.
“The concept of growth hacking comes from Silicon Valley. Although it first appeared as early as 2010, it really attracted widespread attention in the industry because of the article “[Growth Hacker is the new VP”] published by Andrew Chen in April 2012. Marketing](http://andrewchen.co/how-to-be-a-growth-hacker-an-airbnbcraigslist-case-study/)” article, which quickly triggered a crazy discussion. After explaining the specific meaning of growth hacker, this article cited the case of Airbnb to illustrate how growth hacker shines in the process of user growth.” I quoted directly from “The opportunity to be a mixed race in my life: Growth” Hacker is the beautiful mixed race that bosses are looking for](https://buzzorange.com/techorange/2014/03/03/growth-hacker-vp/)” article, interested friends can learn about it by themselves.
Later I read another article “What is the Essence of Growth Hacking?” Two pictures give you a more thorough understanding of Growth Hack](https://www.inside.com.tw/2016/05/16/what-is-growth-hackings-nature)” which mentioned the general understanding of growth hacking, as well as senior Internet people According to Miula, the essence of growth hacking is to “find all feasible and necessary ways to achieve growth under a very limited budget.” This coincides with the author’s demands for business briefings. The key core of growth hacking can be illustrated by the picture below.

The key core of growth hacking on the general Internet and Miula’s reinterpretation/Liu Yiyou
Quoting from the article: “The main reason for this modification is that I think programming is only a tail-end method, and System Optimization is the spirit behind it. And [Data Analysis (Data Analysis)] Analysis)](https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%95%B0%E6%8D%AE%E5%88%86%E6%9E%90) This topic is too broad, but data on all user experience behaviors when using products is the data that growth hackers value most.”
- When marketing + systematic optimization, results-oriented marketing (ROI based Marketing) will be produced
- When User Experience + systematic optimization, User Experience Optimization will be generated
- When user experience + marketing, word-of-mouth, community and content marketing (Social & Content Marketing) will be generated
The intersection of the three is the ultimate Holy Grail of growth hacking.
Briefing on the key core and chain effects of hacking
Based on similar concepts, I have compiled and explained the key elements of briefing hacking.

Briefing on the key core and chain effects of hackers/Liu Yiyou
I define the key core of presentation hacking as “presentation, visual optimization and audience experience”. When a briefing is combined with visual optimization, a “briefing that emphasizes visual communication” will be produced, and the effect is to “lower the threshold of understanding” and allow the audience of the briefing to understand the content in the most intuitive and relaxed way.
When audience experience is combined with a presentation, the result is an “audience-driven presentation”. We will start from the audience, including how to improve the motivation of wanting to listen? How to increase willingness to listen to the end? What are the triggers that lead to action after listening? Develop various skills in business presentations, including pre-communication/persuasion, opening icebreakers, structural layout, ending focus, Q&A responses, follow-up interactions, etc., all in order to “increase the power of persuasion/resonance.”
When the audience experience is combined with visual optimization, “optimization of the audience experience” will occur. From the design of the briefing, the guidance of sight lines, the layout of the performance scene, to the presenter’s body language, tone of voice, and clothing appearance, they are all extensions of the brand (enterprises and individuals), all for the purpose of “increasing the texture of the experience.”
Through briefing hacking, in the first stage we will focus on the audience and achieving the goal, avoiding rework and redoing. This is what Turning Point A has done, changing the slope and reducing the resources consumed. In the second stage, through the efficient [Presentation Cycle] (https://www.contenthacker.today/2018/02/presentation-7-habits.html), everything from pre-preparation, structural layout, content design to presentation can be carried out in a more efficient manner, significantly reducing the consumption of resources (as shown in the figure below).

Build your presentation hack to show your professional value
As mentioned earlier, the essence and key core of briefing hacking are: the effect produced by the combination of briefing, visual optimization and audience experience. And when these three intersect, it is the ideal scenario for briefing hackers. “Not only does it achieve the goal, but it also saves time and effort, and even uses only one slide or no need at all.”

If you make complex things simple, you will be an expert; if you make simple things professional, you will be an expert; if you do the above, you will definitely be a winner in the workplace/Liu Yiyou
Lowering the threshold of understanding, increasing the power of persuasion/resonance, and increasing the quality of experience are the three stages of making a business presentation, and they are also the chain effects demonstrated by the key core of presentation hacking. How to simplify complex things and professionalize simple things is not only a way to solve problems, but also a process of demonstrating personal professional value.
