Vista Reading Club Issue 1: Build your own content power company
I read a piece of text this morning and I had some feelings about it. It just echoes the main theme of Vista Book Club (opens in a new tab). I’ll share it with you here:
There are two parts of each of us that cannot be changed. First, various innate conditions, which are equivalent to your hardware, and the variables are very small; second, your own efforts, which are equivalent to your software, and there is not much room for improvement.
But our thinking model is equivalent to an operating system, which manages hardware and software. This is the biggest variable in our lives. By changing this variable, lifelong growth can be achieved.

Is it easy to change your mindset? I think this is a matter of opinion, but what I know more clearly is that if you don’t take action (opens in a new tab), you will not be able to change and grow. There is no doubt that reading is a good thing. I am very pleased to see the various reading clubs that are blooming now. As a person who has been to a reading club, I am very happy. However, if there is only input without output (opens in a new tab), it is a pity and the meaning of the reading club has been lost.
Based on this simple reason, I recently started organizing a book club with practice as the core, and selected “Content Power Company: Use good content to create big business (opens in a new tab)” and “Why fans ignore me?” : A Practical Manual for Content Marketing Without Spending Advertising Fees (opens in a new tab)” These two books are used as reference books for the first reading club.
At seven o’clock last night, several friends who I didn’t know gathered together at Shadow Space (opens in a new tab) near Taipei Main Station. Everyone listened to me talk about my inspiration for establishing Vista Book Club (opens in a new tab). I also spent some time talking about global industry phenomena and trends. When all industries are facing digital transformation, how can we “upgrade” ourselves and the companies we serve?
In addition to a brief introduction to “Content Power Company: Use good content to achieve big business (opens in a new tab)” and “Why are fans ignoring me?” : A Practical Manual for Content Marketing Without Spending Advertising Fees (opens in a new tab)” The core concepts of these two books. I will also explain to you how to use the systems and frameworks of these two books to match practical exercises.
After that, I asked the participants to introduce themselves, and also asked everyone to talk about why they wanted to participate in this book club? Someone told me that he wanted to run a personal brand, and someone was a professional lecturer who wanted to learn website management and content marketing (opens in a new tab). In addition, a partner enthusiastically runs the Kittenadopt Halfway House Fan Page (opens in a new tab), hoping that through the power of online publicity, more people will come together to care for these lovely cats. Another friend mentioned that he wanted to plan a new [content theme] for his blog (https://www.facebook.com/content.taiwan/ (opens in a new tab)).

Among our group of partners, there are financial experts, professional lecturers, and front-end and back-end engineers. Everyone’s fields are different, but their ideas are all great, and I think they are very feasible. I believe that through joint reading and implementation in future reading groups, promoting the synchronization of thinking and action (opens in a new tab) will definitely help everyone realize their dreams.
Vista Book Club Issue 1 (opens in a new tab) has officially started. If you still want to catch this train, please contact me as soon as possible! (Based on the consideration of learning effectiveness and interactive communication, we hope to maintain small class operations.)
