In the recent two-day course “[Social Copywriting: Copywriting Creativity Course] (https://hsinchu-labor.com.tw/course/28)” offered by Hsinchu County Labor University, I gained a lot of valuable writing skills and experience. Originally, I was very troubled by writing copywriting. I often didn’t know how to write, and I couldn’t effectively present my ideas. However, Teacher Vista’s class changed my concept and approach to writing and gave me a new understanding and experience of writing.

During class, Teacher Vista reminded us to reduce the time we spend writing outlines. In the past, I always made my outlines too detailed. As a result, the scope became wider and wider, which blurred the focus. During this course, I learned that outlines should be kept concise and purposeful in order to keep writing clear and focused. This guidance from the teacher made me rethink how to formulate an outline so that my copy can be more focused and consistent and avoid unnecessary verbosity and deviation from the topic.

In addition to the guidance of the outline, Teacher Vista also broke down the goal setting behind the copywriting in detail. This part gave me a deep understanding that writing is not just about putting words together, but also a process of setting goals and conveying intentions. By first understanding the goal and then structuring the copy, I learned how to express my ideas with purpose, which helped me improve my copywriting skills.

Teacher Vista also introduced a new writing method “[Inverted Pyramid Writing](https://zh.wikipedia.org/zh-tw/Inverted Pyramid Structure)”. This approach allows me to put the most important information at the beginning and then expand on the details. This way of writing not only enables readers to obtain key information in the shortest possible time, but also enables us to organize the content in a more orderly manner when writing. Mastering this technique makes me feel relaxed and happy in the writing process, just like when I draw. With a clear direction and framework, the whole process becomes more natural and smooth.

During the actual practice, I deeply realized the importance of writing method with artistic conception first and then structure. The teacher asked us to build a clear picture before writing, so that when we write, we can more easily concretize our ideas and avoid the previous troubles of “no direction, no focus, and a running account.” This method not only improved my writing efficiency, but also improved my ability to control the copy content, and also improved my confidence in writing copy.

The practical exercises in the course and the teacher’s feedback also provided me with great help. Teacher Vista’s instant feedback allowed me to quickly understand my strengths and weaknesses in writing and make improvements and adjustments. This not only improved my writing skills, but also taught me how to better observe and analyze each creation. This is a very valuable learning opportunity.

I was afraid of writing copy before because I didn’t know how to write or how to start?
