The next morning, after having a rich buffet breakfast, we headed to Jabil in the southwest. The journey took a total of five hours and was the longest transportation journey of our group.

The journey along the way was like a road movie, with small towns, deserts, and animals appearing one after another.

There are even chain restaurants KFC and SUBWAY at the rest stop!

The restroom at the other rest stop was also quite clean, which made people feel relieved.

Jip (or Jaipur) is closer to the western desert, so the climate is hotter. Taking into account the hygiene of meals and avoiding the too hot noon time, the itinerary is arranged to go to a hotel to eat and rest first. The hotel I stayed in for these two days was INDANA PALACE JAIPUR. It was very comfortable to stay.

The hotel is gorgeous,

Jabil is also known as the “Pink City” because the King of England was coming to visit in 1727. Knowing that he liked pink the most, he used roses and other pigments to dye it pink. However, the materials were different and the color turned out to be more orange.

In fact, the King of England only stayed here for two days. The palace built for him at that time is now the Japp Museum.

The Birla Temple is the only open temple in Hinduism. It is entirely made of marble. The all-white building feels quite holy.

The translucent stained glass is beautiful to see from the inside. Unfortunately, you can’t take pictures inside, but you can still see a little bit from the outside.

In Hinduism, there are three gods of protection, destruction and creation. Depending on what you hold in your hand, the one holding a conch or wheel is the God of protection, the one holding a trident or snake is the God of destruction, and the one holding a kettle is the God of creation. “Elephant God” with an elephant head and body: the god of wealth, wisdom, and the son of the god of destruction.

The temple also lists the sculptures of all the philosophers in the world, including Confucius and Jesus.

【Day2-2】: Water Palace (Jai Mahal)

This was the palace that the king built on the water to escape the summer heat. Because the dust was so heavy at that time, I could only look at it from a distance and did not get out of the car to enjoy it. 【Day2-3】: Yoga experience

After returning to the hotel, a one-hour yoga class was arranged in the itinerary. I was looking forward to this class because I felt it was the most authentic place to do it locally XD

[![First time going to the Golden Triangle of North India with a group for 8 days Part 2 Jabil JAIPUR - [Day2-3]: Yoga experience](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRCov3E_iQG3OvQLuO7MdUkLVv4gxYUqn96Ysp5JlU_kn 1j7psak0Ywm5M2J3irl9YJjIxPEnMCpHRFxppKgJX5HUdHa1THDyX3IR0zPdMsIofGwDkl77XPjeQlGBvTXqp69P6u5cDGg/s640/IMG_20180430_18272 1.jpg)](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRCov3E_iQG3OvQLuO7MdUkLVv4gxYUqn96Ysp5JlU_kn1j7psak 0Ywm5M2J3irl9YJjIxPEnMCpHRFxppKgJX5HUdHa1THDyX3IR0zPdMsIofGwDkl77XPjeQlGBvTXqp69P6u5cDGg/s1600/IMG_20180430_182721.jpg)

The teacher asked a classmate who was good at English to be the translator. Basically, more than half of them had taken yoga classes before, such as downward dog pose and triangle pose. It was the first time for some group members to do yoga, and they would hear wailing during the process XD. BUT! The teacher didn’t know what genre it was, but there were techniques such as “suddenly pressing down on the head to stretch the cervical vertebrae” and “pulling out the hands to stretch the spine with the weight of the body.” They were like osteopathic moves. They would also apply force on the students to help and then pull them apart. I could hear the joints clicking, and I started to wail! Not a beginner course? This is a rare move. What kind of hardcore person is he? Maybe it’s because I usually do some yoga after exercising. I did all the movements well and was praised by the teacher for being very soft. After my whole body was relaxed, I fell into a deep sleep at night~

【Day3-1】: Amber Fort (Palace of Mirrors)

[![The first time I went to the Golden Triangle of North India with a group for 8 days Part 2 Jabil JAIPUR - [Day3-1]: Amber Fort (Amber Fort)(Palace of Mirrors)](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjr-CaO-N26bDxzwhKGzTX-XFzJ79xb8pKLm7u2A3rzwWf dwJFCpRwQcjBE9lfKC7rVsAivXtaby1zfsV1gtY2_c3AwyeTjjzZSjLqdv14hkf9H5-GLfEQHYT5tGJno3cBeICBnWylhjg/s640/IMG_4902_edited. jpeg)](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjr-CaO-N26bDxzwhKGzTX-XFzJ79xb8pKLm7u2A3rzwWfdwJFCp RwQcjBE9lfKC7rVsAivXtaby1zfsV1gtY2_c3AwyeTjjzZSjLqdv14hkf9H5-GLfEQHYT5tGJno3cBeICBnWylhjg/s1600/IMG_4902_edited.jpeg)

This is one of my favorite spots! Amber Fort began around the 10th century, and was gradually added to by successive monarchs. The city-state stood on the top of a hill for several centuries. It was not until the 18th century that it was moved to the current urban area of Jip for the convenience of water.

Built on a hill, it has the splendor of a castle. Tourists can ride on an elephant. Because I didn’t want to ride an elephant, I took a jeep with the leader and saw the scenery beside the wall.

This gate is painted in various colors including red made from pomegranate peels and carrots, and green made from mango leaves. The outermost layer is coated with coconut oil to make it waterproof. It has not faded for four hundred years!

This was the castle of one of the kings of more than 500 small kingdoms at that time. Because his daughter was married to a big Muslim king, the colors and decorations can be seen everywhere in the two cultures of Hinduism and Islam. For example, Hindu white and Muslim red, Hindu animals hidden in Muslim flower carvings, and domes with Islamic elements. The mirror-decorated palace is not only beautiful, but also has the function of absorbing heat and keeping warm in winter. Although it looks gray and silver in the photo, it was really dazzling in person!

The floor of the building is all marble, because before the British rule, Indians did not know that wood could be used to make furniture, so there were no doors. Only door curtains or carpets were hung at the door. The wooden doors you see now were all added later. This place is so beautiful that I am speechless. I can only admire it with all my strength. I hope to imprint these patterns in my mind. I believe that people with perfect ideas and symmetry will also feel very comfortable here XD The king had 12 wives, so there were 12 rooms and 12 porches in the square.

Amber Fort also joined UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in 2013. 【Day3-2】Jantar Mantar (Jantar Mantar)

This is also a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. The former king loved astronomical science, and the largest observatory was 27.4 meters high, which was very spectacular.

There are also measuring instruments for the 12 constellations. By this point it was the hottest time of the entire trip, over 40 degrees! After taking photos in a hurry, he fled the scene.

【Day3-3】City Palace

This is the place where the king moved after leaving Amber Fort for the convenience of water. It is very exquisite.

There are two largest silver water tanks in the world. It is said that during the six months when Maharaja Jap took a boat to London to attend the coronation ceremony of Prince Edward, they were used to contain the Ganges water needed for drinking and bathing. (Ganges water is really important!)

Look at these details. From a modern perspective, they are still very fashionable, right?

We were allowed to shop here for an hour. The time was short, but every store had to negotiate prices. You couldn’t get out of a store without spending 15 minutes! I couldn’t forget the beautiful patchwork blanket I saw in the morning, and later I bought two small rugs (as shown below). The boss offered one for 2,800 rupees and sold two for 900 rupees (approximately NT$450). Do you think it’s ridiculous? Because I haven’t done my homework, I still don’t know whether the transaction price is in line with the market! In short, as long as both parties are willing to do so.

I still quite like this rug! I also bought a rabbit stamp, which was reduced from 50 rupees to 40 rupees (about NT$20 discount). After leaving, I was still not satisfied with all the colorful things, but I really didn’t have time to bargain. Indian sellers don’t seem to care much about the time cost when bargaining!

Just next to Tribolai Market, you can see its spectacular windows. In order to let the queen, concubines and palace ladies watch the city view, there are a total of 953 windows. Later, I went to the jewelry factory and carpet factory arranged by the travel agency and looked at the carpets that “would be very suitable if my home were a palace.” Unfortunately, my home is not a palace, so I didn’t buy anything.
