I use blog to cheer me up every day and give myself some motivation. At the same time, I also let the world see my proud side through my blog.

When I was in college, I chose a major that was not in line with my interests. In addition, my grades later dropped to only two points, which made me feel that there was little hope of finding a job in the future. Although my childhood dream was to become a liberal arts student, I have to treat it as a childhood fantasy. When I reached the age where I was thinking about my future development, people around me strongly instilled in me the concept that “I will not have enough to eat in the future if I study liberal arts.” In the end, I became a science student, but I had no interest in the main subject, so I just took classes half-heartedly.

On the contrary, I write whenever I have free time. Now that I have written it, I want everyone to read my article. It was the early 1990s, and there were no one-person media tools such as the Internet or blogs. Even if I wrote articles, there was nowhere to upload them, so I launched a one-person magazine. I took the articles I printed out on my computer to the bookstore in front of the school to photocopy them, then bound the printed papers with a stapler and gave them to people I saw.

The magazine even has a name, “Minzhi’s Word Field”, which contains young poems, travel notes, and even English short stories written by himself. Now when I re-read the article from that year, I feel very childish. I wonder why I would want to show that article to others, and I can’t help but feel a little shy. However, I was really happy when I was producing pirated literary magazines. After all, writing work has always been my dream. Even though it is an impossible dream, I still don’t want to give up the fun of writing articles.

One day, a schoolgirl who had watched “Minsik’s Field of Words” said to me:

“Senior will definitely do well if he becomes a PD.”

“Huh? What do you mean?”

“PD is a profession that tells stories with people. I think senior is a person who likes to tell stories.”

Vista supplement: PD is the abbreviation of Program Director or Producer, which means director, art director or producer.

Several years have passed since that conversation with my schoolmate. I have experienced various professions such as salesman and interpreter. During this period, a certain corner of my heart still kept lingering about what my schoolmate said.

“As a PD, will I be able to tell the stories I want to tell?”

In the past, in order for everyone to read my immature words and ideas, I did a lot of hard work, photocopying and binding, and sending them to people I met. Next time I met that person, I would ask him what he thought, and then continue to work hard. Compared with the past, today’s era is really happy.

I get up in the morning and polish the article I wrote in my spare time. Then I only need to change the public reading permissions and click “Publish”, so that thousands of people can see my article. And everyone will click “like” or leave me a message to give me feedback. What a wonderful world!

I think that I was able to successfully pass the PD exam thanks to my love of writing. MBC’s written examination or composition test is not difficult. After all, my hobby is to make an amateur one-person magazine and share my stories with everyone.

I became a PD in order to become a storyteller, but if the company did not give me the opportunity to direct, I would become useless. The playwright writes the script, the actors act, and the director of photography must take the photos in order to produce a work. In the past few years, the company has not given me the opportunity to produce TV series at all. I seem to have become a fool who knows nothing, so I write articles every morning.

When things are not going well, I look at my work from other perspectives. The so-called PD’s job is to be both a storyteller and an expert in giving motivation to others. PD needs to find talented playwrights and say to them, “You are the one who can write interesting stories.” When you find a good actor, tell him, “You are the actor who can show thousands of faces.” If you find enthusiastic staff, you should tell them from time to time, “I have never seen anyone as capable as you in this field.” To comfort the people who work together, so that they can go all out in their respective positions and enjoy it, this is TV drama PD.

So, are there ways to empower others in our daily lives? I became obsessed with blogging while pondering this question.

“There are so many things in this world that you can enjoy for free! Even learning English is free!”

There is no difference between writing articles on a blog and directing a TV series on set. I realized that even without watching TV series, I could share interesting stories in the space of blogging. I practiced my realization every day, which subsequently led to new job opportunities. After writing articles, I unknowingly became a person who published books, gave lectures, and appeared on TV shows.

Recently, I have been using my blog to cheer me up in my daily life and give myself some motivation. I let the world see my proud side through my blog.

I praised myself and felt happy, like: “Have you even read this kind of book? Wow, you are so handsome!”, “Wow, you rode a bicycle to Chuncheon? You are awesome!” This kind of compliment. Doing this has gradually made my life more interesting, and my expression has become much more cheerful.

I try to make a full day so that I can show off on my blog, mostly through reading, traveling, or movie experiences. Unconsciously, my life became full of fun.

The blog is my most reliable friend, it stays by my side anytime and anywhere, always listening to my stories.
