What exactly is a business model? Can we say that this is how businesses or people in general make a living?
Wikipedia points out that Business Model is a business, the means and methods of creating revenue and profits. And Alexander, the author of “Profit Generation”. Oswald believes that a business model is a means and method that describes how an organization creates, delivers and obtains value.
I have worked in the media and have long been involved in the business models of major well-known companies in the world (such as Apple, Facebook, Google and Uber, etc.) and many new startup teams. I once wrote a cover story about Internet Business Model, and many readers still remember this series of reports. Some even say that this is his favorite issue of “Digital Times” magazine! Well, it really makes me feel proud.
Talking about Business Model, this is not only an area of interest to me, but I also usually discuss related cases with my clients and students. Next, let’s get down to business. You can draw your own version by referring to the nine elements of the Business Model Blueprint. It’s especially worth noting that many people may confuse “key activities” with “value proposition,” so be especially careful.

Before you start planning your business model, you might as well think calmly: Who are my main customer groups? And what do I want to achieve? What products do you want to sell or provide? Whether it is a product or service, is there anything unique about it? Is there any difference between it and other competing products?
A value proposition is a promise of value to be delivered, communicated, and acknowledged. It is also a belief from the customer about how value (benefit) will be delivered, experienced and acquired.
To give an actual case, the reason why I launched the “Vista Writing Companion Program” was not to earn tuition fees, but to see that many working friends were distressed about writing or had a need to improve their writing, so I started planning this service. In a nutshell, we need to create value for the target audience through value proposition. Ask yourself, what is your value proposition? Are there any unique features? And why did you choose a specific business model? Of course, these questions are worth pondering.
The purpose of setting value proposition is not only to improve user experience, but also to examine or analyze the changes, gains and losses between costs, benefits and customer value for individuals or enterprises.
