I watch "Self-Traffic Life": Creating a unique selling proposition is more important than selling things

[In my opinion, creating a unique selling proposition in self-traffic life is more important than selling things - Cover image](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLEg557lsoRkDwvaMEJSr9A0oKWQjRQ8v8cG9FTHsDlW8HVkqk6Scl92eQf5rhCJWrMKsyDIs64eDhK7If- utyVMcLgyC7wa3zBC0A0Vg-JjH7cBjbHiXKP9se8g-0CMySDAI16Mn6H2ux/s1600/%25E8%2 587%25AA%25E6%25B5%2581%25E9%2587%258F%25E7%2594%259F%25E6%25B4%25BB.jpg)

I accidentally bought this book “[Self-flow Life]” (https://www.books.com.tw/exep/assp.php/vista/products/CN11567838?utm_source=vista&utm_medium=a p-books&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-201902)”, although this book came out as early as 2012, the simplified Chinese version was only introduced and published by CITIC Publishing Group in August 2018. There seems to be no traditional version yet. Although it was written six or seven years ago, there is still a lot of useful information in the book. I think it still has certain reference value for friends who want to start an Internet career.

In this book, the author Scott. Fox tells and shares his own experience with you through the following parts:

  • Part One: Identify your most desired lifestyle and goals and incorporate them into your career plan.

*Part 2: Find the disruptive rules behind self-traffic lifestyle business models and exploit them. At the same time, you also need to quickly become an expert in a certain field of the Internet in a short period of time.

  • Parts 3 and 4: You’ll learn about specific success stories of people who are already enjoying their millionaire lives. Many of them create profitable new products and provide services themselves, while others have achieved career success by providing value-added or customized services to users.

  • Part 5: Target a certain niche market and find profit opportunities based on your own life experience and personal interests.

  • Part 6: Learn to build a website simply and quickly at the lowest cost, and quickly attract users.

  • Part 7: Develop action plans and specific strategies to realize your dreams, choose a niche market that suits you, and then start your entrepreneurial journey.

Regarding this book, I particularly resonated with Chapter 19, “Methods for Identifying Niche Markets,” where the author pointed out nine steps to find a niche market that suits you:

  • Step one: Choose the product that suits you from the 4Ps. 4P refers to personal interest (Passion), audience group (People), problem solving (Problem) and product recommendation (Product).

  • Step 2: Analyze audience needs.

  • Step 3: Explore potential profits.

  • Step 4: Analyze competitors.

  • Step 5: Analyze product communication and distribution methods.

  • Step 6: Develop products or services.

  • Step 7: Analyze operating and production costs.

  • Step 8: Analyze the market.

  • Step 9: Think carefully and make your own decision.

In fact, the above nine steps are not difficult to understand. I have written many related articles on the “Content Hacking” website in the past. However, if you rethink it completely according to the author’s ideas, you will still have new inspirations and gains. Especially the “serious thinking” mentioned by the author is really important!

Audience size X Revenue per audience = Potential revenue you can earn

The above formula is easy to understand. If we can attract a large audience and fully increase their participation, we can make a lot of money. The author also tells us to choose a big market, but the smaller the focus, the better──the most important thing is to provide users with a unique selling proposition.

The author pointed out earnestly that in the business field, compared with how to sell things, he hopes that each reader can clarify his own goals and what unique services he can provide? You also have to think about it from time to time, how can you provide others with the services they need?

This also made me think about, what market should I enter in 2019? Which audiences should we target to provide unique services? If we take “Vista Writing Companion Program” as an example, although it has started well, there are still many issues that I need to think about, including improving services and content to meet the needs of each partner.

Well, in fact, the book “Self-flow Life” also talks about many oriented issues. Although some contents are slightly different from current current affairs trends, they still have reference value.
