On the evening of December 31, 2017, [Luo Zhenyu] (https://www.vistacheng.com/luoji-taipei-meetup-20160928), known as “Luo Fat”, this Chinese celebrity The former popular knowledge dealer (should be said to be an online knowledge service provider) once again held the [2017 “Friends of Time” New Year’s Eve Speech] (http://tech.qq.com/a/20180101/000707.htm). More than 10,000 people crowded into the Shanghai venue to listen to his speech. Coupled with the live broadcast on Shenzhen Satellite TV and the audio-visual platform Youku, it is estimated that millions of people at home and abroad watched simultaneously, showing the depth of his influence.

As content hacker, we will naturally not miss such important knowledge and trend conversations, but we only select the relevant important concepts and thoughts related to the content and share them with you. To put it bluntly, our purpose is nothing more than to encourage everyone to do it. As for the other part of the speech that mentioned China’s economic development, friends in Taiwan can indeed be concerned about it; but how accurate is it, and can everyone take advantage of this? This part requires waiting time for verification, so it is temporarily outside the scope of content hackers’ concern.

Golden Quote 1: The experience and knowledge accumulated in daily business become priceless.

We have repeatedly emphasized this sentence in our previous Content Hacker Lecture and Course - any efforts you have made on content before will never be wasted. These contents or knowledge must be accumulated bit by bit through your professional experience.

Maybe you can’t jump from Lv1 slime directly to the L999 final level boss. The training in the middle is indeed boring and repetitive; but without the accumulation of experience in these professional tasks, it is bound to be impossible to produce in-depth content.

To Do: So stop saying that you have nothing to write about in your professional field. Others have already talked about it.

  • What are your own observations?

  • What changes have occurred in the preferences of customers visiting the store?

  • What happens to the weekly/monthly sales rankings?

Please record all the above items. These contents are stories that only you can write, which cannot be replaced by others, and can be used to shape your professional image.

Golden Quote 2: What’s more important is the kind of knowledge you have to do it again to gain it

In other words, the content you produce should be based on experience in “implementation” and “observation” at work.

If you actually do it once, whether you succeed or fail, you will internalize it as your own experience. The experience of others can certainly be used as a reference; but if external knowledge cannot be digested into your own motivation for action, it will always be on the shelf for reference, and it will be difficult to bring you potential customers.

To Do: In addition to working hard, please remember to transform your observations into words, pictures or videos, and share them with your potential customers through self-media.

Quote 3 (revised): The greatest compliment to a creation is when people say - This is so obvious, why didn’t I think of it?

The word “innovation” in the original sentence has been changed to “creation” here.

Good content should be easy for readers to read and even easy to understand. Moreover, after absorbing and digesting it, they will help you explain it to others and actively emphasize the importance of this content.

After others see it, they will only say to you, “Yeah, Why didn’t I think of writing this before? It’s really useful.” This is the greatest compliment to you.

To Do: Observe your customers, what are their characteristics? Write these down and compare them.

Golden Quote 4: From the “hunting and gathering era” to the “agricultural era”

This point mentioned by Luo Fat is exactly the difference between traditional advertising, public relations and owned media that we strongly emphasized in the First Content Hacker Lecture (CHL1).

We-media is an important tool that everyone uses to “enclose their land for farming.” Use the useful content from self-media to attract potential users to come back and read them in the long term, and encourage users to take actual action through call-to-action, and ultimately purchase your own products or services.

Luo Fat emphasized that traffic is getting more and more expensive. This is also what we mentioned in the previous course [New restrictions on Facebook and Google] (https://www.contenthacker.today/2017/12/2018-fb-google-new-ad-policy.html), which forces advertisements that are not within their rules of the game to become more and more expensive. Clicks not only require bidding, but more importantly, the attractiveness of the content to users. If you manage to attract users with great difficulty, but do not manage it carefully because of “deep cultivation”, you will not be able to wait for the day of harvest.

To Do: If you haven’t started using self-media to operate and don’t have time to set up an official website, then go to Blogger, Medium and other blogging platforms to start blogging first, and show it to customers as soon as possible, or send them the URL via LINE.

Note: Don’t worry about the exclusive website, just buy it when you have time! Or it’s not too late to get one when many customers take the initiative to ask you or request you. Of course, if you are willing to spend a few hundred dollars to invest in your own brand at the beginning, this is also a great thing!

Quote 5 (revised): The mission of content marketing─create and retain customers

The original sentence is “the mission of innovation”, and we believe this is also the mission of “Content Marketing”.

It should be emphasized that what we are talking about here is content used for marketing. It is not like the content generated by general media, which only generates traffic but cannot drive the owner’s income. Therefore, content marketing is about generating pull from potential customers (creating customers), and at the same time, you must be able to use content to retain customers and become loyal fans.

To Do: In addition to “what to write”, you have to remember that you are writing for the purpose of “creating and retaining customers”, and start writing (actually a keyboard) on the blog you opened as mentioned in the previous point.

If you want to write for yourself, rather than to increase business, I suggest you create a separate blog that talks about just that thing. Unless you are a veteran of running blogs for a long time, we would recommend that you only talk about a single topic in a blog. Too many topics will confuse readers.

In 2018, let us use our accumulated experience cultivating content power to cultivate potential customers in the future!
