Time flies, and counting on the fingers of one hand, Jobs has been away from us for 2754 days. During his absence, the earth is still moving every day. For the majority of Apple people who carry iPads in their backpacks or hold iPhones in their hands, it seems to be no different?
We still send messages to friends through LINE every day, follow the global Internet pulse on Facebook, and occasionally play “Angry Birds” or “Fruit Ninja” to relieve stress. Gradually, the focus of the media spotlight shifted to Amazon founder Bezos, Facebook CEO Zuckerberg or other entrepreneurial rookies. On the eve of Apple’s upcoming launch of the next generation iPhone, when we gradually no longer mention Steve Jobs’ summer——
In fact, he never left.
Steve Jobs is still with us, he just exists in a different form. His persistence in products remains the same as before, and his thoughts on innovative design never stop. Even Jobs’ business logic continues to operate as usual, continuing to help Apple reach its peak.
These days, Apple’s new products are still being launched one by one according to the schedule. Whether it is the emergence of MacBook Pro Retina, the debut of the operating system, or the upcoming new mobile phone, every move Apple makes has repeatedly aroused the exclamation and pursuit of users around the world.
The era of Cook leading Apple has come, but no one can forget Jobs. In fact, Jobs’s secret lies quietly in the mail box where he interacts with technology media and consumers.
Whether it is a short reply such as “yes”, “no”, “I think that’s right”, or a eloquent reference to a rebuttal letter from an authoritative organization, it is not difficult to see Jobs’ thinking and foresight in his letter, and his true temperament can also be discovered.
Maybe you’ll be a little disappointed, but that’s Jobs’ personal style. Don’t bring technology public relations into Apple. There is no hypocritical customer service etiquette there, but there is the most sincere art of replying to letters and a huge obsession with the product.
As soon as I got the manuscript of “Jobs’ Letter Box”, I flipped through it from the first page to the last page in one breath. Although some of the stories in it were familiar reports, there were more pages that were fascinating. There are indeed many books recording Jobs. It is true that we have read too much about Jiabo’s legendary life.
——But if you want to get closer to his thinking and pay attention to his views on product innovation, then reading “Jobs’ Letter Box” would be a good choice.
Postscript: This is the recommendation preface I wrote for the book “[Jobs’ Letter Box] (https://www.books.com.tw/products/0010554570)” published by Twitter in August 2012. Perhaps you can read between the lines my deep admiration for the entrepreneur Steve Jobs. Unlike “Jobs Biography”, this light and short book can be finished in a few hours, but if you are careful, you may get a lot of inspiration from Jiabo’s style.
