My partner [Randy] (https://www.facebook.com/peir.ren), who has participated in the first “Build My Personal Brand” lecture, today introduced the [blog] (https://www.randy24.com/) he runs in the LINE group. In addition, I was asked a question: “Do you have any other ways to exchange traffic? Will you encourage content creators to repost each other’s articles?”

Of course, there are many ways to increase traffic. I actually don’t encourage bloggers to repost each other’s articles without any purpose. It doesn’t make much sense. However, you can consider trying to serve as a guest blogger on some relatively large-scale or distinctive websites (https://backlinko.com/the-definitive-guide-to-guest-blogging) (Guest Blogging). According to Neil Patel, if you want to apply for guest blogger, you must pay attention to the following four points:

  • The site’s content must be focused on your niche or industry.

  • The site’s audience must be interested in your industry.

  • The site has a certain scale to attract readers.

*The webmaster of this site is active on social media.

According to my observation, the practice of guest blogging seems to be less popular in Taiwan, but it is still a good way to increase exposure. By the way, if you are interested in publishing a guest article on the “Content Hacker” website, please contact me!

In addition, in response to another question raised by Randy, if you want to strive for traffic monetization, in addition to posting Google on your blog AdSense and other online advertisements may be invested in Blog Marketing. You may also want to try Zimedia Program!

After answering Randy’s question, I opened his blog. At first glance, the layout feels quite refreshing and comfortable. If my guess is correct, his blog should be set up using WordPress. In addition to the overall fresh feeling, I was also attracted by the name of this website “Brand E-commerce Entrepreneurship Diary”, especially the subtitle also said “A designer’s cross-field experience”, which made people even more curious!

How did a person with a design background embark on the road of starting a brand e-commerce business? This is so interesting that I couldn’t help but read a few articles on the first page immediately⋯⋯

Unfortunately, after reading several articles on the first page, I almost thought I had gone the wrong way and landed on a certain 3C blog? Well, aren’t we going to talk about entrepreneurship experience in brand e-commerce? Why are all the articles I see about information technology? What does this have to do with design?

From the perspective of a “personal brand coach”, it’s not that Randy really can’t write about this type of subject matter, but it’s a bit of a pity. After all, many 3C bloggers have written this type of article for a long time. If we simply compare the publishing speed, we will probably be in a hard battle. This is very hard work. Otherwise, you have to write a unique point of view, but I don’t know if Randy is sure?

If we want to win the attention of readers, it is not enough to just work hard on writing articles. We must also have the correct methods and strategies. I think that with Randy’s background, he should be able to write articles on different topics, and then combine his own observations in the industry to share, and naturally he can write valuable articles.

Let’s take the article “Five operational performance indicators that small e-commerce bosses cannot ignore” as an example. In fact, this is a topic that interests me. However, when I clicked in, I was surprised to find that [Randy] (https://www.facebook.com/peir.ren) seemed to only introduce the meaning of terms such as “customer acquisition cost”, “retention rate” and “customer lifetime value” in this article, but I could not see Randy’s interpretation and related discussion of these five performance indicators…

To be honest, for readers who have never visited Randy’s blog, if he just wants to know the meaning of “customer acquisition cost”, wouldn’t it be better to check it on Wikipedia? Take “customer lifetime value” as an example. There are as many as 10,600,000 results on Google for this keyword. If you can’t write down your own characteristics or unique perspectives, it really doesn’t mean much.

I once quoted Jeff Bezos, CEO of the global e-commerce giant Amazon, about personal branding in the lecture “Building My Personal Brand”.

He said: “Your brand refers to what people say about you after you leave the room.”

I like this statement very much, so I want to encourage Randy and all my friends who want to develop their personal brands to try to make the public feel special about us. In other words, if you can’t make a strong impression, all your efforts will be in vain.

Therefore, if you want to develop a personal brand, I would suggest taking some time to take stock of yourself first. Please first find your interests and strengths (if you need help, please feel free to contact me Contact); only in this way can you find your niche and entry point. Next, there is a lot of practice and practice to strengthen your professional and communication skills, so that people will be willing to trust you!
