I received a letter from a reader today. He mentioned in the letter: “I saw your book “[Slow Reading and Understanding in Seconds]” (https://www.books.com.tw/exep/assp.php/vista/products/0010794093?utm_source=vista&utm_medi) written by you in the library. um=ap-books&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-202108)”, I feel it is very useful to me as a newbie in copywriting. If you have the chance, I would like to hear about your experiences on this path, including your experiences in speaking, writing books, running courses, and running websites every day.”

Speaking of my life story, I once wrote a diary about my career development. In addition, some media have interviewed me and introduced my slash story.

Although many friends think that my life seems to be colorful (except for the pawned love credits, woohoo), to put it bluntly, even though I have studied in many departments, such as electronic engineering, information management, information communication, cultural creativity and industrial engineering, etc., I have also worked in various different jobs, such as engineer, product manager, producer, reporter, editor-in-chief, and professional lecturer… However, I always feel that I have accomplished nothing.

However, if you don’t judge heroes by success or failure, then my experience is really rich! As this friend said, I have indeed done a lot of things. In addition to being an office worker for many years, I also usually do interesting things such as giving speeches, hosting events, writing books, giving courses, and running websites.

Having said that, because I am a curious person, I always want to try various possibilities. It seems that in the past two days, a well-known middle school wanted to invite me to give a lecture to teach children how to write eye-catching compositions. Wow, teaching writing is certainly not a problem for me, but in the past I have taught writing to office workers or senior citizens. This time I have to teach middle school students, which is an interesting and huge challenge!

In the past, many friends have asked me questions such as:

“How can you get into the media job if you don’t study Da Chuan?”

“Why can you write columns and host events?”

“Aren’t you an introverted and sensitive person? Aren’t you nervous even when you go on stage?”

“Why do you write novels, computer books and biographies? And you can also publish a book?”

In fact, there are so many whys in life? If you really like someone, pursue it bravely; if you really want to achieve something, then do it!

Although I know many top academics, celebrities, and elites, to be honest, I am not a powerful person. Along the way, I have fallen through countless pitfalls, but what does it matter if I fall? Don’t be afraid, just stand up again. Although “crossing the river by feeling for the stones” may be a relatively slow process, in the past few years we have finally taken one step at a time and gradually figured out some directions.

The so-called “crossing the river by feeling for the stones” does not mean that we are unable to change the current situation and can only allow things to develop freely. For me, it’s actually about taking one step firmly and then taking another step. Just like the famous fable “The Tortoise and the Hare” in “Aesop’s Fables”, even if the tortoise moves extremely slowly, it will still reach the end as long as it keeps moving forward.

If you like hearing my stories, you can share them with you more if you have the opportunity in the future. But I want to take this opportunity to encourage my friends around me. Although I am not a very confident person, sometimes we really should give ourselves more applause.

Tell yourself: Hey, you can do this!

Of course, if you have any questions you would like to discuss with me, please feel free to write in. During the period when the epidemic is raging, everyone will inevitably feel a little nervous. At this time, the power of peers becomes very important. I hope to use my words to warm you. Let’s support each other and let’s work together!
