Listen to the small voices and embrace the big world──Welcome to “Vista’s Little Voice”! This is a podcast program produced by Vista Cheng. The program content includes but is not limited to good book recommendations, technology trends, business models, digital tool sharing and note-taking and other diverse topics.
Speaking of podcasts, I’ve actually been following them for several years! But to put it bluntly, I recently joined hands with my friend Evelyn Chang to produce “V LAB Marketing Institute”, and I really entered the world of podcasts.
Here, I would like to briefly introduce to you the program “V LAB Marketing Research Institute”! In each episode produced by Evelyn and I, listeners will be introduced to research and findings related to decision science, psychology, or behavioral economics that a marketer should know. At the same time, we will also brainstorm together and discuss how we can apply this knowledge or information in the field of marketing?
Well, the science of marketing is really fascinating, and everyone is welcome to explore it with us!
In addition to “V LAB Marketing Institute”, some friends have recently invited me to record programs together. For example, [Harlem Chen] (https://www.facebook.com/harlem.chen), a junior currently studying at [National Taipei University of Education Graduate School of Cultural and Creative Industries EMBA] (https://ccim.ntue.edu.tw), invited me to produce [a podcast about books] (https://open.firstory.me/story/ckkxvtrw676ak0898soki7clk). Therefore, after the new year, I will continue to “appear” in some friends’ channels.
Not only do I love reading, I am also a multi-disciplinary learner. I have been active in the workplace as an engineer, assistant to the general manager, product manager, producer, reporter, editor-in-chief, product director, lecturer and consultant. So, I thought I would have a lot of interesting life stories or experiences to share!
Having said that, because I am curious about many things and want to share my experiences and opinions with everyone, in addition to cooperating with friends, I also plan to produce my own podcast program. In fact, I have had this idea for a long time, but no action has been taken. So, when I opened a room on Clubhouse two days ago, it just reminded me that now is the right time to start producing my own show!
When others are complicated, be simple. When everyone is going crazy about Clubhouse, I’m going to start a podcast.
Although it’s a bit rushed, it’s always good to have a beginning. So, I don’t think too much about it…
Regarding the podcast program “Vista’s Little Voice”, my motivation is actually very simple. It basically starts from my interests and profession, and I hope to share more of what I see and hear with friends around the world.
Because I have just started production, I don’t plan to set too many restrictions. The program content includes but is not limited to diverse topics such as good book recommendations, technology trends, business models, digital tool sharing, and note-taking techniques. Of course, I also look forward to hearing more of your suggestions in the future, and I will correct the direction as I go.
Well, I hope you will like “Vista’s Little Voice”!
Introduction to the first episode
Participating in Book Club is not new to me because I have been immersed in books for many years and have had many experiences reading with my friends over the years. You may want to ask, why should you participate in a book club? The reason is simple. In addition to having a dedicated person to guide each gathering, what’s even better is that everyone can receive diverse viewpoints through the reading club. Of course, after reading, you can also eat and drink, or participate in relaxed and interesting social activities.
After participating in the book club, I feel that reading has an extra responsibility, and I will naturally drive myself to keep moving forward and not be lazy. What’s even better is that in the process of communicating and interacting with everyone, some friends have found jobs through the reading club, while others have found mentors and friends, or even the direction of their lives and their significant other, through the reading club.
For me, in addition to meeting a group of good friends, I also experienced the fun of “reading old books new” and “reading good books slowly” in the process of reading books. In summary, although I spent a lot of time studying, the rewards are really huge, which can be said to be in my heart.
Over the years, I have not only enjoyed participating in various reading clubs, but also hosted many reading clubs in recent years. I regularly hold physical gatherings in Taipei every month to guide and recommend good books to a group of book lovers. Affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, I have recently planned to move physical activities online, and are thinking about whether it can be combined with the voice social model of Clubhouse, which is currently under development, to conduct online reading club activities?
In this episode of the Podcast, in addition to telling you interesting stories about myself and the reading club, I will also share with you practical methods of reading and input and output. At the same time, I would also like to preview some tidbits about recommending good books on the “Harlem Say” channel hosted by my friend Harlem. And what interesting sparks will be stirred up by my conversation with my junior students? Even I am looking forward to it!
