For my family, the important event today is that it is finally my sister’s turn to get vaccinated. Maybe it was because I saw that everything went well after I was vaccinated last week, and my mother promised to accompany her, so it seemed like the old god was there.
At around 9:30, they came back from Healthy Elementary School. After lunch, the roommate went back to her room to take a nap, but something changed at night. She started to have a fever, and even had signs of seeing stars. Well, this should be considered a normal reaction, right? Hope everything will be better after tomorrow.
At this moment, our family of three has all taken the first dose. It’s a blessing to be able to get vaccinated successfully, and at least a little more protection would be good. There are only a few days left until July 26th… Well, no matter whether the lockdown can be lifted by then, I think everyone still needs to wear a mask for safety.
Today, in addition to continuing to mark assignments submitted by students in the online course “Write Your Own Story”, I also have partners from the “Vista Writing Companion Program” discussing writing-related issues with me. To put it bluntly, I was originally a man in science and engineering. Logically speaking, I should become an engineer or scientist after graduation. Who knew that later on my life would take a complete turn, and now I would travel around the world as a lecturer and columnist? It was really unexpected!
Speaking of incredible things, there have been quite a few lately! I saw the news in the evening. The Chinese delegation departed for Tokyo to participate in the Olympic Games today. All coaches and players were arranged to fly economy class, but the delegation chief and head coach were able to fly [business class] (https://www.ettoday.net/news/20210719/2034744 .htm), and also made the world’s football queen Tai Ziying sigh, “I miss EVA Air so much, I can fly business class.”
As soon as this news came out, of course it immediately aroused public resentment. After all, the athletes are the protagonists in the East Olympics arena. How could it be the officials’ turn to enjoy it? I was puzzled by this. Later I saw that the President, Executive Dean, Minister of Education and the Director of Sports all apologized, but…
