Looking back on my career, whether I served as the editor-in-chief of “Digital Times” magazine, or later co-founded the “Taiwan E-commerce Entrepreneurship Association” (https://tesa.today/) (TeSA), the largest e-commerce community in Taiwan, with several friends in the industry, almost all of them were related to “Entrepreneurship” (https://www .books.com.tw/exep/assp.php/vista/products/0010829025?utm_source=vista&utm_medium=ap-books&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-201908) This matter cannot be separated.
When I was still working in the media, I often hung out with many friends in the startup circle because of my work. Either I would interview and report on their glamorous entrepreneurial stories, or I would listen to these entrepreneurs complain behind their backs and share their thoughts that were difficult to express publicly… Then when I founded [TeSA] (https://tesa.today/), I began to change my identity and stand on the front line to coach and assist more friends on the road to e-commerce entrepreneurship.
——It can even be said that in these years, I have either started a business or been on the road to starting a business.

But I also found that with the evolution of the times and the rapid changes in technology, people’s ideas and practices towards entrepreneurship have begun to change. For example, a while ago I just finished reading [Fan Deng], the founder of “Fan Deng Reading” (https://www.businesstoday.com.tw/article/category/80392/post/201903050018/%E5%B0%87%E3%80%8C%E7%BE%85%E8%BC%AF %E6%80%9D%E7%B6%AD%E3%80%8D%E6%AF%94%E4%B8%8B%E5%8E%BB%E3%80%80%E3%8 0%8C%E6%A8%8A%E7%99%BB%E8%AE%80%E6%9B%B8%E3%80%8D%E8%AE%931400%E8%90% “[Low Risk Entrepreneurship]” (https://www.books.com.tw/exep/assp.php/vista/products/CN11633901?ut) written by AC%E4%BA%BA%E6%8E%8F%E9%8C%A2%E8%81%BD%E8%AA%AA%E6%9B%B8) m_source=vista&utm_medium=ap-books&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-201908)”, this successful entrepreneur believes that entrepreneurship does not necessarily mean high risk, but should try to reduce risks, seize opportunities for asymmetric transactions, and then leverage wealth.
Since starting a business doesn’t mean you win every time or lose nine times, you don’t necessarily have to start everything from scratch. So, when I saw “Entrepreneurship” written by Mr. Lin Kewei. The author of this book combines the information he has studied abroad in the past and his own entrepreneurial experience to compile a set of strategies that can stand on the shoulders of giants and seek development. It can be said to be a very suitable entrepreneurial logic for Taiwanese people to refer to.
As the author said, if others have laid the foundation for you, why bother starting from scratch? In fact, many key successes lie in technology, creativity or innovation, so if you can take advantage of others’ already innovative ideas and carry them forward, this may be a good shortcut.
In this era of the rise of super individuals, Entrepreneurship will become an option or choice that many people may face, whether you choose to join the ranks of entrepreneurship immediately or not… I believe that you must also recognize one thing: that is, we all need to build in entrepreneurial thinking.
