Yesterday was very busy. In addition to participating in the “Cracking the Secrets of E-mail Marketing” course offered by teacher Lin Yutang in the afternoon, I also attended the [Intellectual Aviation Club EP.1] party organized by Shengxian Shishu in the evening.

In recent years, many people have called me Vista teacher. Although I started classes on the Hahow platform last year (https://hahow.in/cr/content-power), I am not very familiar with the Content Department Director [Yuan Shihan] (https://www.facebook.com/lenyuan8256) (Hanhan) who shared the topic on stage last night. However, because she has had previous experience in co-developing online courses and has experienced the teaching skills of colleagues in Hahow’s content production team, she is also very interested in the topic she wants to share with everyone.

Hahow, founded in January 2015, is an online learning platform that started as a talent exchange. It is also Asia’s leading cross-field fundraising learning website. Just four years have passed, and now Hahow has become a fairly representative fundraising learning platform in Taiwan. Moreover, I also heard Hanhan mention that Hahow plans to expand beyond Taiwan and is actively expanding into Southeast Asia and other Chinese education markets.

According to Hanhan, there was only one colleague in the company who was responsible for all content-related matters. Now four years later, the content department has grown rapidly and developed into a huge organization with four units: content development, content project planning, content audio and video, and content quality control.

I guess the content team that everyone is most curious about is the content quality control department, right? If we look at the well-known “Get” App team on the other side, the scope of content quality control should be the so-called “quality control”.

On May 26 this year, at the “Get 3rd Anniversary Open Day” event hosted by “Get” App, Xuan Mingdong, the head of the editorial office of Get App, gave a wonderful sharing titled “What is the secret of Get’s quality control?”.

Xuan Mingdong pointed out that quality control is the quality control of products. This is a system arrangement used to ensure that products achieve quality, and the quality control that “Get” is proud of is actually the execution of productization - we think with quality and speak with productization. Use quality to set up the flag, and also use productization to walk the road.

Provide users with learning solutions that maximize the value of unit time to respond to the current challenges of highly fragmented time, cross-border learning becoming necessary, and lack of solutions for lifelong learning.

I believe that many of my friends have read the [Quality Control Manual] (https://mubu.com/doc/explore/10545) that I have received, and you may be impressed by the various details mentioned in it. Similarly, I am also curious about the content quality control process of Hahow and would like to know more about and learn some secrets and tricks. At the event of [Intellectual Man Aviation Club EP.1], I saw many old friends. After listening to Hanhan’s sharing, I suddenly realized that it turns out that the Hahow content production team’s understanding of content quality control is from the perspective of students. They not only examine this online course, but also whether it can achieve the intended results? At the same time, we will also check the quality of the courses.

——Although in terms of the number of courses, business scale or number of members, “Get” and Hahow are not necessarily in the same level, nor are they necessarily comparable. But based on past cooperation experience, I feel the intentions of Hahow colleagues and their eagerness to catch up. On this point, I think it deserves everyone’s recognition and encouragement!

How did Hahow go from being able to do to being able to teach? Perhaps the key lies in the “content translation” they engage in.

Hanhan mentioned that they invest a lot of effort and resources in “content translation”, starting from course positioning, and gradually assisting lecturers to polish a good course. You can roughly get some clues about what the Hahow content production team has done from the slide above. But what interests me even more is how they specifically assist teachers in developing courses that meet their needs, which is the “leading production” and “customized assistance” mentioned in the slideshow below.

The difference between “leading production” and “customized assistance” is directly reflected in the instructor’s familiarity with creating online courses. The more assistance the instructor requires, the more involved the Hahow content production team becomes. In addition, they will also understand the preferences of the target audience and the response of the consumer market through the establishment of learning maps and learning paths, combined with pre-class assessment and preference analysis.

After listening to Hanhan’s sharing, I not only understood the operating logic of Hahow’s content production team, but also got to know this group of lovely young friends better! After the meeting, I also chatted with Hanhan, hoping to start my next course at Hahow soon.
