In the zero-click era, three decisive trends in knowledge IP: GEO layout, long- and short-term resonance, and high-price realization

In the past, by filling the Internet with keywords, you could get more or less traffic. But in 2026, this old rule officially expires.
With the widespread popularity of AI Overviews, large language models (LLM) have become the core entrance for people to obtain answers, and digital marketing has officially entered the zero-click era: users no longer click on the top ten links of search results one by one, but directly read the precise summary integrated by AI. Between questions and answers, fewer and fewer people pass through your website.
Under such technological changes, if you still only position yourself as a content creator, your traffic will be completely wiped out. Only by refining personal expertise into knowledge IP and being the first to deploy GEO (generative engine optimization) can we become a market darling trusted by both algorithms and users.
Here are the three tie-breaking trends I’m looking at for the 2026 Knowledge IP landscape.
Trend 1: From SEO to GEO, don’t let AI mute your knowledge
When users ask questions to ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude, can your knowledge IP be selected, cited and recommended by AI? This is where GEO wins or loses. In the past, SEO focused on keyword density and background tags, while GEO focused on structured knowledge and brand authority (E-E-A-T). I talked about this change in “When Search Changes Its Owner: Three Reminders a GEO Sharing Brought Me”: When the owner of search changes, the rules of the game naturally change as well.
The recommendation logic of AI is very realistic: if the content is superficial and is no different from the large amount of AI canned text on the Internet, the search engine will treat you as noise and filter it directly. To be recommended by AI first, knowledge IP must upgrade its content architecture from two directions:
- Provide exclusive actual combat figures and cases: AI cannot fabricate unpublished personal experience out of thin air. Share more first-hand empirical numbers and on-site stories. This uniqueness is the nutrient that AI most desires to capture.
- Import structured data (Schema Markup): Through a clear machine-readable structure (such as JSON-LD code), clearly tell AI your core arguments, professional background and industry connections, so that the algorithm can search seamlessly. For implementation details, please refer to my “AEO Practical Review: Is Your Website Ready to Be Cited?”.
Not sure what your current GEO physique is? I made a free tool “GEO Physical Checker (opens in a new tab)” that can measure your visibility score in ten minutes and tell you the three holes that should be filled first.

Trend 2: The audio-visual strategy of long-term and short-term resonance, using short content to break the circle and long content to convert orders
The top knowledge IP in 2026 will no longer blindly pursue longer articles every day, but will adopt a closed-loop strategy of long-term and short-term resonance.
Use short content such as 60-second videos and Threads to charge forward in the recommendation system and help you capture a large number of potential audiences; however, what can really enable you to achieve commercial monetization is still the in-depth long content on the back end. Through serialized, unit-drama-style long videos or high-quality columns, you can fully deliver the logic, thinking model and sense of companionship of knowledge.
In one sentence: short content is responsible for attracting eyeballs, and long content is responsible for winning souls.
The premise of this style of play is that you must first have a content system that can continue to operate, instead of relying on inspiration. How can one piece of long content be split into ten pieces of short content, and then let the short content lead people back to the home page? I have demonstrated the complete process in “Create your content flywheel with free AI tools”; as for why creators need to think clearly about the strategy before taking action, you can go back and read “Why content creators need a content strategy”. If you want to directly import this system into your own business, I packaged the method into AI content engine import package (opens in a new tab), from content pillars, production lines to release rhythms, it is built at once.
Trend 3: Say goodbye to low-price involution and use high-price business models to free up time
When AI lowers the threshold for obtaining basic information to almost zero, if knowledge IP is still selling low-priced information products, it will fall into extremely painful price involution. Because consumers will think: “I can just ask AI for these things, why should I spend money to buy them?”
The logic of high-price realization in 2026 is never about information, but about the results of transformation and highly personalized companionship. Dare to offer high-priced in-depth consultation, high-level coaching workshops or corporate consulting services, but can accurately screen out customers with high willingness and high motivation.
The top IPs on the market no longer have one person to do all the trivial matters, but have established a semi-automated delivery system: using AI Agents (intelligent agents) to handle normal content layout, preliminary analysis and customer guidance, fully focusing the core time of human IPs on high-level strategy setting and one-on-one in-depth insights. One thing to remind you here is what I wrote in “AI is a magnifying glass, not a magic wand”: AI will only honestly amplify the advantages you already have. You must first have professional depth worth amplifying.
If you are thinking about converting your major into high-priced courses, workshops or consulting services, but don’t know where to start, welcome to take a look at the physical courses and workshops (opens in a new tab) I opened at solo.tw: From business model design to AI workflow introduction, these are the methods I use every day.
Conclusion: If you can’t beat the algorithm, be someone the algorithm can’t copy.
In an era of complete technological equality, the only thing that cannot be automated or copied is your real intuition, emotional connection and practical thinking accumulated through ups and downs in the industry as a living person. This is why I have always advocated that every professional worker should first think about his or her positioning: If you don’t have a word to make people remember you, first read “In the AI era, how to use one word to describe you”.
Stop trying to be a machine that produces the most. Algorithms will never win. Reconstruct your content system, embrace GEO with open arms, and use your irreplaceable personal experience to create a high-priced knowledge IP business model!
