TMBA is a cross-school and cross-department MBA graduate student society. It is based on the field of business management and is committed to cultivating financial talents. It has accumulated and inherited connections and industry resources over the years, with the goal of becoming a top talent integration platform between academia and industry and continues to improve.

Today is January 23rd Freedom Day (ok, I’m afraid not many people still remember Freedom Day), but I have been thinking about this day, not because of Freedom Day, but because I have to go to the National Taiwan University Convention Center early in the morning to participate in the “[Guide you the way, from good to great] (https://www.accupass.com/event/2012291326561527726216)” sponsored by TMBA.

Thanks to Eric, the event organizer of TMBA, for his warm invitation, which allows me to be acquainted with famous writers such as Sister S, Hong Peiyun, Girl Karen, Ouyang Lizhong, Zhao Yincheng, He Zewen, Liu Junyou and Huang Yijia. I have the honor to participate in this event and listen to [Yang Siyi] ( Wonderful sharing by doctor https://www.facebook.com/YangSzuPang) and professor Hong Cheng!

I arrived more than half an hour early. I thought I should have arrived early, but unexpectedly, before nine o’clock, the entire venue was already nearly half full… Well, as a creator, seeing this scene is really touching!

Eric (hereinafter referred to as Aida) also brought my humble work “[Content-based Marketing] (https://www.books.com.tw/exep/assp.php/vista/prod) despite his busy schedule ucts/0010838761?utm_source=vista&utm_medium=ap-books&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-202101)》, in addition to asking me to sign my autograph, you also took a photo with me. Thank you very much.

As soon as 9:30 arrived, the speech activity took the initiative to kick off. Aida shocked the audience as soon as he stood on the podium. He opened with “I have a dream” by Martin Luther King, Jr., an American pastor, social activist, human rights activist, and African-American civil rights leader (https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin Luther King, Jr.). He later mentioned the algorithm of life and asked everyone to use their mobile phones to take pictures of the hair swirling on their heads.

Eric talks about the algorithm of life and the second curve

Without thinking, I immediately took out my phone to take pictures of my friend sitting next to me, and also asked her to take pictures of me. This shot is amazing, it turns out that I am already a gray-haired old man! Well, that’s not the point. The key point of Aida is actually that when shooting by yourself, it is easy to lose focus due to poor control of the angle. This reflects the importance of good teammates.

Later, Aida mentioned the recently popular “one-person company.” For the operators of a “one-person company”, it is not enough to be the CEO of their own life. They also have to play the roles of CTO, CMO, CFO and COO at the same time. It is really a long way to go.

[Guide the way for you: From good to great, your thoughts after listening to the speeches of three writers Eric Yang and Hong Cheng - Picture 5](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEDCo_hUqorMGZuxhplxiL-xYcLydQFkq5QLJErxyN9TYHxzNjS_yi36mLFj6okSkii-ik bfJqgYKGUzZUcWPQcaIJL_8JwRNgnD3c3b56sopicanHAE7uip4NziXFruwXdL6vWT QM-IN9/s2000/141637955_1272570386469730_4968369236027652429_n.jpg)

Ai Da took the opportunity to bring out the idea of the second curve. He also reminded everyone: We all know that there are many turning points in life, but the difficulty is not knowing where they will appear? Therefore, in addition to following the practices of successful people, he also encourages everyone to establish decision-making criteria.

This passage from Laozi’s “Tao Te Ching” is undoubtedly the best footnote.

In the process of pursuing their vocation and destiny, Aida suggested that participants should master three key words, namely passion, strengths and attitude. He used the English word “outstanding” as a metaphor: if you want to be an outstanding person, you must first stand up, and you must stand in the right place. [Guide the way for you: From good to great, your thoughts after listening to the speeches of three writers Eric Yang and Hong Cheng - Picture 6](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSegtP96JMNStd4N2HgwRk58C2fLz9AvXZjWAZs9LqnJO1zHfadFBEG2QxGh23ewlElYDGNLtbZqr7mYjXdMid XcG9ZkuJMlhP_J7XJ1UjtFgQCOkKfRXEOs70WEvwbTDPfPthPLoHl3EL/s1920/%25E6%2588% 25AA%25E5%259C%2596+2021-01-23+%25E4%25B8%258B%25E5%258D%258811.04.15.png)

Hearing this, I couldn’t help but smile knowingly. Although this is my first time meeting Aida, I can really feel his sincerity and sincerity.

Next, he encouraged everyone by citing the story of the famous oil painter [Chen Chengbo] (https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/陈成波) during the Japanese colonial period and post-war period in Taiwan. Although Chen Chengbo only lived to be 52 years old, his achievements in painting and efforts to promote Taiwan’s art and culture can be said to be indispensable.

Ai Da said: “You must have a masterpiece in life!” These words suddenly opened a hole in my heart, and I kept thinking about whether I have any masterpiece that I can use to speak out. I will inevitably feel guilty for a while, and I really need to work hard.

Finally, Aida gives you three suggestions: adjust work, revise judgment and reset values. Finally, he ended with the words “Everything that happens must have a purpose and help me.” He encouraged everyone to persevere in this long marathon of life and cherish the good teammates around them.

I originally thought that Aida came on stage just to help Dr. Yang Sidi and Professor Hong Cheng behind. Who knew that he was so involved and even choked up several times in just one hour, which made people feel his true temperament.

For this speech, I actually tried to give it seven times from beginning to end. It took more than an hour, an hour and ten minutes, an hour and four minutes, and finally an hour was just right. Every time, I cried in the middle and couldn’t continue. But I have cried too many times and gradually became numb, so I was able to go smoothly on stage today, and it only took 58 minutes! Every sentence I say seems to pass by quickly, but every word is the concentrated essence of my more than 40 years of bitter blood and tears.

After Aida finished sharing, Dr. Yang came on stage.

Dr. Yang Sipei’s life path

In fact, I have listened to Dr. Yang Sidi’s sharing several times before, so I know him to a certain extent. In addition, we are also Facebook friends. In addition to envying him for speaking fluent Taiwanese, I also admire his devotion to social welfare affairs.

His new book “[Life Path Guide](https://www.books.com.tw/exep/assp.php/vista/products/0010870626?utm_source=vista&utm_medium=a p-books&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-202101)” has naturally been read many times. Having said that, he is truly worthy of being selected as the man of the year by Jinshitang in 2020, and it is not a fluke at all.

As for Professor Hong Cheng, although we are strangers to each other, we have already read his new book “My Mechanics” and I was deeply impressed.

“Why should I write a book? Not to become famous or make money, but if it can help readers, that would be great!” Professor Hong Cheng mentioned today that his original intention of writing a book was actually for three factors: Stay connected, Find your voice, and Enrich your life. I also quite agree.

Thank you Aida for the invitation, which gave me the honor to listen to the wonderful sharing of three handsome writers. Although the time was short and I couldn’t stop, I benefited a lot. After listening to this lecture and walking out of the National Taiwan University campus, I was reminded of the father of WeChat [Zhang Xiaolong] (https://vocus.cc/article/5f31db88fd89780001a9bf97). He once said in public: “It’s difficult to know what you want, but it’s easy to know what you don’t want. So, just say ‘no’ to most product suggestions.” As a former product manager, Zhang Xiaolong’s words impressed me deeply and made me think twice.

I would like to borrow flowers to offer to Buddha and pass it on to everyone. I hope all readers and friends can adhere to this purity on the road of life.

Thanks to the three writers for their guidance, I once again realized the true meaning of “life is both short and very long”: what I have gone through is no longer bearable to look back on, and what can be left behind has gradually become a memory.

Think about Aida’s insistence on the details of speeches, think about Dr. Yang’s personal actions (from helping friends write recommendation prefaces to supporting social movements), and think about Professor Hong’s philosophy of writing books to promote learning. The speeches of the three sharers were not only wonderful, but I also felt from their actions: Only by continuous hard work and continuous giving can we go from good to great, not only enriching our own lives, but also lighting up the world.

“Mencius” Teng Wengong wrote: “Who is Shun? Who is he? This is also true for those who are promising.”
