I have known Mr. Zheng Yunlong (https://www.facebook.com/bodylearning), the co-founder of Dream College (http://dreamscollege.cc/), for a long time. In addition to admiring his long-term hard work in the field of spinal health care, I am also curious about his training career. I am very happy to have the opportunity to participate in this lecture “[How to Make a Popular Speech] (http://dreamscollege.cc/?p=5812)” and finally be able to learn from Teacher Zheng.

What is the instructor’s intention in teaching? Is it to show rich knowledge? Or show personal charm? How to inspire the audience and motivate them to get up and take action to create a better life. Let Mr. Zheng Yunlong, an expert in spinal health care, use his rich speaking experience of more than 3,000 times to tell us what exactly we need to do to achieve a popular speech!

Zheng Yunlong The teacher shared without any secret, and I took a lot of notes throughout the night. However, here I will only share some of the most impressive and touching parts. Friends who are interested are welcome to sign up for the courses offered by Teacher Zheng in the future!

Instructors are content producers

Teacher Zheng Yunlong mentioned that lecturers are content producers and information providers. This sentence made me feel refreshed, and it also made me think again about what the lecturer should do after taking the stage? Is it just teaching? In fact, this is not the case. The lecturer must also take into account the time, space, quality, energy and dominant point of the entire teaching activity.

Teacher Zheng used himself as an example to explain how to play the role of a good content producer. He said that he simultaneously operates Body Wisdom Facebook Fan Page, Body Wisdom Official Website, and [Body Wisdom LINE@](https://www. bodylearning.com.tw/news/detail/6/), Body Wisdom YouTube Channel, Body Wisdom blog and student area LINE@ and other social media.

Teacher Zheng labels himself a “Spine Health Expert” and is exposed through television programs, public speaking engagements, brand endorsements, radio, the Spine Expert Facebook fan page, book publishing, and the [Spine Health Expert Blog] (http://dragon.bodylearning.com.tw/blog). All these efforts are nothing more than building trust with the professionalism of lecturers.

He specifically mentioned the importance of positioning for lecturers. The so-called “lecturer positioning” includes professional knowledge, work habits, strategy/decision-making ability, work skills, concepts and thinking, mission/vision and values, work attitude, mind and psychology, and others. When I heard this paragraph, I also remembered [Teacher Chen Wanyu’s sharing] (https://www.contenthacker.today/2018/04/rachel-chen.html) a few days ago. They all talked about the importance of positioning.

Teacher Zheng also specifically mentioned “mission”:

Mission explains why you do what you do? Mission defines a person’s purpose in life and how you want to help others.

Teacher Zheng emphasized that as a lecturer, you must clearly understand your “mission”. Lecturers must proceed from this mission, achieve unity of words and deeds, and show truth to others, so that students can believe that the lecturer sincerely wants to help them grow.

It is the mission of doctors to solve illnesses. It is teacher Zheng Yunlong’s mission to help everyone create their own health.

Hearing this, I couldn’t help but start thinking about what my mission is? Looking back on the past six months, I promoted the concept of [content marketing] (https://www.contenthacker.today/p/content-marketing.html) through the “contenthacker” website. Did I do anything right? What else needs extra effort?

The first priority of internal strength and mental skills is the ability to face the situation

When it comes to inner strength and mental methods, Teacher Zheng said that the first priority is “the ability to face it.” The definition of facing means that the lecturer must be able to face the students without escaping or shrinking. Real facing is to be able to be comfortable in any unfamiliar environment and have the ability to perceive it.

As long as the lecturer can train himself to have the ability to face it, he will not be nervous and can be calm. The energy you face is different from the energy you see - because the lecturer must look at everyone in the audience with an exploratory attitude.

Teacher Zheng also shared with everyone that he believes that the basic communication skills of lecturers are:

  1. Gazing: being able to gaze at a person or a group of people comfortably.

  2. Clear expression: Able to express clearly, understandably and effortlessly.

  3. Communicate intent: Overcome distractions or lack of attention to deliver communication.

  4. Make people like you.

These principles may seem simple, but in fact there are many details involved. As far as “intention” is concerned, Teacher Zheng believes that the so-called “intention” is a desire to desire something and an idea to achieve something. A lecturer with intention must be able to cover the entire venue with his sight and observe the entire audience and students.

I remember hearing Teacher Zheng mention his views on intention in this article [The Wrestling of Intentions in Public Speech] (https://bodymap.tian.yam.com/posts/15649967):

  1. The lecturer must be the person with the highest EQ in the room, and be gentle and pleasant, or at least modest and conservative, in order to win the favor of the public.

  2. The lecturer’s teaching intention and enthusiasm must be strong enough for everyone to feel!

  3. Lecturers must have full confidence in order to have better leadership!

  4. In fact, it is not just lecturers who must do this. Anyone who needs to communicate with the public, such as company executives, community leaders, or those who need to give presentations, you should be the person with the strongest intention when communicating with the public!

After listening to Teacher Zheng’s personal experience, I can better understand the importance of intention.

Atmosphere control and safety points

When it comes to mastering the atmosphere, I think this should be one of Teacher Zheng’s strengths. He pointed out that he would reach a “safe point” soon after the start. The so-called “safe point” is to make everyone curious! For example, if you take a Rotary Club speech, you should make everyone interested in the topic of the speech after the first two minutes. Otherwise, it will be very dangerous if the audience’s expectations do not match the content of the speech!

As for how to master the teaching atmosphere, you can refer to this article “[Observation, Expression and Processing: Three Magic Weapons for Professional Lecturers to Control Students’ Emotions] (https://www.contenthacker.today/2018/04/what-makes-a-good-lecturer.html)” written by Mr. Bai Xiong, and you will know how to observe, express and process well.

Overall, as a professional lecturer, it is not enough just to have a wealth of knowledge! You must also convey the right message to the right person in the right tone at the right moment. In addition to oral expression, there are also expressions, standing, sitting and gestures, as well as listening.
