This morning, I received a message on LINE from a student of the second phase of the “Vista Writing Companionship Program”. It turned out that she wanted to discuss the article she had written with me, and she also hoped to get some feedback. Well, it took me a few minutes to read it, and I feel that this is indeed a very practical article. Except that the font of the blog is slightly smaller, there is not much problem with it overall.

However, I found that the student’s call to action at the end of the article was still too implicit and might not be effective. So, this also makes me want to write another article to talk to you about how to create effective calls to action?

Call to Action (CTA) is actually an important factor that inspires readers or target audiences to actually take action. Therefore, whether it is copywriting or button design, there is actually a lot of knowledge and details involved.

Common call-to-action copywriting includes: buy now, sign up now, learn more or go to the nearest store… etc. Graphic design includes banners, buttons or general pictures. Friends who are interested can also refer to this page.

In fact, I have written some articles about calls to action before, such as “[If you want to design an effective call to action, ask yourself three questions first](https://www.contenthacker.today/2019/01/how-to-create-the-perfect-c all-to-action.html)”, “[How to create a powerful call to action?](https://www.contenthacker.today/2018/01/how-to-create-the-perfect-call-to- action.html)”, “Content Operation Lesson 3 for Startup Teams: Inventory Resources and Place Calls to Action” and “[Call to Action How to design it? Take the clapping mechanism of the Medium platform as an example] (https://www.contenthacker.today/2018/01/call-to-action-for-medium-clap.html)”, interested friends are welcome to refer to it.

In fact, it is not difficult to create a powerful call to action. First, you need to grab the attention of the target audience. When writing copy, it is recommended that you write content that is easy to understand and provide clear benefits and instructions in the text, so that readers will take action.

In terms of graphic design, we often see that some operators place buttons (such as add to shopping cart) in conspicuous places, and even deliberately change fonts or use special colors to highlight the key points. These intentions are nothing more than hoping to arouse people’s attention.

In addition to mastering these concepts, here are two tips you may want to consider when writing or designing a call to action. These are some techniques that I use from time to time and they are quite effective!

The first method: sort out the problems or bottlenecks that the target audience will actually encounter.

Trying to make the problems faced by your target audience concrete will naturally help everyone think and take action. Think about it, if you just lightly mention “Welcome to contact us” or “Welcome to fill in the request form” in your article, do you think readers will contact us immediately or fill out the form obediently?

But if we can add some scenes, based on the needs of the target audience, and even match popular topics such as festivals and current affairs, it will naturally attract attention!

The second method: Help the target audience outline the ideal life or career vision they yearn for.

As the saying goes, “If you have a dream in life, build your dream with a solid foundation.” Many people have longing for their future life or work. If we can help the target audience outline a bright future blueprint in advance, it will naturally be easier to attract this group of people to follow the guidance and take corresponding actions.

For example, although I am still single, I really like children. I once read an article that said: “I would like to dedicate this article to mothers who are breastfeeding, and also to several friends who are about to have a new baby in their lives. We all hope to do the best, because the arrival of a baby is the best gift in life.”

To be honest, just reading this paragraph makes people feel so touched! If at this time, I can tell you - what actions should be taken to do the best? I think such a call to action will definitely achieve good results.

Based on the above two methods, I can share with you another practical case:

Last night, I wrote an article about Building a Brand Image. I not only tell you that you can build your brand image by adhering to your concepts, shaping your style, and cultivating fans, but I also included my own “Vista Writing Companion Program” advertisement at the end of the article.

You might as well think about it, if I just wrote “Welcome to sign up”, it would be difficult to impress people, right? Therefore, I decided to change the approach, starting with what everyone wants to achieve, and then talking about the needs of the target audience or the problems they may face… I hope that through this method, I can attract friends who are interested in building a brand image.

If you also want to create a new brand image, please start by adhering to the concept, shaping the style and cultivating fans. Well, let’s do it together. Oh, right! If you want someone to accompany you to discuss and study the details of building a brand, or if you want a teacher to give guidance on how to write a Brand Story? Welcome to sign up for [the third issue of “Vista Writing Companion Program”] (https://lihi.vip/G9M20).

After reading the above call to action, it should not be difficult to find out - in fact, I will only talk about two things: first, do you want to create a new brand image? The second thing is, can you write a brand story? If the answer is yes, then you need the help of a brand consultant and writing coach.

After reading this article, I hope it can help you design an effective call to action. If you have any questions related to the call to action, please discuss with me! Of course, you are also welcome to sign up for the third issue of “Vista Writing Companion Program”!
