Dear Teacher Vista:

Hello!

Did you have a good time during the Dragon Boat Festival? It’s been two weeks since I took your class. The days at work are busy and fast. I always remember this after the class, but I still put off writing my class experience until now. I hope you don’t mind.

Thank you for teaching us this course. Although it only lasts for two short classes, the course content is very solid. I have gained a lot from the public relations (PR) work in the past. I was able to quickly absorb the essence of media and press release knowledge in two nights of classes.

Of course, I also understand that the remaining ability improvement depends on more practice on my own. The teacher gave many cases of press releases in class, which was my favorite part. I was able to better understand the structure and writing skills of press release, and feel the information and power conveyed by a good press release text. In addition, there are teachers’ experience sharing and media relations management and communication skills, which are all very useful parts of this course.

This time I came to sign up for the “[Practical Practice of Media Communication and Press Release Writing] (https://www.tiandiren.tw/course/c1083/)” course taught by Vista mainly because of work needs. In the past, I have been responsible for the marketing of emerging industry technology companies, and I have been responsible for the PR part media and press release writing. Although I have always been involved in it, it is not the main body of the work; therefore, I have not had much time to spend on strengthening this part in the past.

And I now work for a company that has been established for two years. It is also a technological innovation in a new industry, but it is a little different… In my work scope, although the company is low-key, it attaches great importance to and treats the distribution and exposure of media and press releases very seriously. Therefore, when writing a press release, the contradiction you may encounter is that you want to mention but cannot mention the key highlights (for example: partner companies, investors, and the amount of funds raised…, etc.). The invitation for an exclusive interview with the media recently was postponed because you could not reveal too much and you were not ready yet.

Regarding the contradictions between media and writing press releases that these new companies face, these are scenes that I often encounter in my work. I also hope that I will have the opportunity to consult with the teacher more in the future, thank you!
