This afternoon, I went to the B1 International Conference Hall of the Daxia Hall of the Cultural University Promotion Department to participate in the “[Practitioners Forum] (https://talk.luke.cafe/)” hosted by the webmaster Lu Ke. This time, among the three speakers, except for Grace, the founder of BetweenGos, who did not know each other at first, Webmaster Lu Ke and Shengxianshishu, the founder of Tuna, are all friends who have met before.
These three speakers also have their own backgrounds. It is not easy for the webmaster Lu Ke to achieve the following of tens of thousands of people just by producing content. It only took Grace four years to build BetweenGos into the largest platform for working women in Taiwan, which is no accident! As for Tuna, which I am most familiar with, it has been running courses, activities and a calendar bookstore very well in recent years, which is worth learning from.

Today’s forum begins with Webmaster Lu Ke’s Out-of-Control Life. Although I have read this series of articles before, I can’t help but feel a little surprised when I hear my own personal experience. I can also agree with what Lu Ke said, “After having a near-death experience, I feel that nothing in life is difficult… Even difficult customers can still provide services patiently.”
Webmaster Lu Ke’s Entrepreneurship Practice
Starting a business is indeed a “narrow escape”, or you can say that there is only a slim chance of success of 0.01%! But as a practitioner, you should never give up easily. Stationmaster Lu Ke was originally fighting alone. After overcoming many obstacles, he has now successfully formed a team, and he and his partners are heading towards the great channel.
After Webmaster Luke finished sharing, Tuna appeared next.

Tuna mentioned that in this era of information explosion, just reading is not enough. You must have output to be able to absorb it. The point is not how much you have read, but how much you have learned? Also, how many can be applied?
Based on his own entrepreneurial experience, he also shared with everyone the three essential abilities of a cultivator, which are:
-
The ability to apply knowledge.
-
The ability to unite the masses.
-
The ability to optimize and upgrade.
Shengxian Shishu’s tips for successful fundraising
Tuna shares the valuable experience of raising funds on the “Tut Tut” platform with the case of the Shengxian Shishu team operating the “Du Li Bookstore”.
You are only one book away from a better life.
The team at Shengxian Shishu selected 365 golden sentences from 146 books with 10,220,000 words that can withstand the scouring of the times. Speaking of which, I also feel very honored - because my book “[Slow Reading and Understanding in Seconds] (https://www.books.com.tw/exep/assp.php/vista/products/0010973827?utm_source=vista&utm_medium=ap-books&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-202605)” published last year was also selected!
“Dou Li Bookstore” has delivered impressive results. After successfully raising 1,664,541 yuan in the first year, it improved its products in the second year and raised another 3,266,621 yuan. It is really not easy. Today, more than 7,000 copies have been sold worldwide, and there are more than 1,400 independent shares on Instagram. It’s really a great achievement!

Tuna is also generous enough to share with you how they operate this fundraising project? At the beginning, more than 3,000 questionnaires were collected, and then a KOL list was simultaneously established to spread the word through the power of these internet celebrities or opinion leaders. At the same time, they also collect lists through chatbots. In addition, we did not forget to send EDM to users who had previously purchased “Reading Bookstore” in 2019.
Before the event goes online, a teaser post should be posted. When the countdown is one week, you must contact KOL to repost it, and you must also ask the publisher to share the information. At the same time, the new proposal had to be sent to last year’s backers.
On the day the event was launched, the Shengxian Shishu team did not forget to knock on KOLs to share information about the event, and also used chatbots to promote the event immediately. Of course, sending EDM and SMS to promote the event online was also indispensable. They even played a live countdown one hour before going online, which shows their intentions.

Tuna calls this series of operations “Stratobomb”. What is particularly worth mentioning is that in addition to using EDM and chatbots, they also spend money to send text messages. Although sending a text message requires a budget, the results are great!
Tuna pointed out: “If there are fewer people sending text messages in the market now, then the more we will send them!”
In addition, the benefits of group buying are also quite great, and there are even group purchases of hundreds of people; but having said that, all these operations must be prepared in advance, and it will be a bit slow to start preheating or group buying when it goes online!
Tuna said: “In a place with many opportunities, it is bound to be crowded. Only by standing higher and being separated from others can you get better opportunities.” I agree with this very much. Positioning and differentiation are indeed important issues that every marketing practitioner must think carefully about!

How BetweenGos gathers crowds and monetizes
Finally, the finale is Grace, the founder of BetweenGos. Based on her experience in running a platform for women in the workplace, she shared with you how to gather content, monetize content, and find uniqueness?
In terms of content gathering, Grace believes that target audience setting, topic planning, and brand consistency should be done well. If you have friends who have taken my marketing or writing classes, you know that I would remind everyone to set a target audience before doing any marketing activities or producing content.
Grace also reminds everyone that you might as well start with the following points when setting your target audience:
-
What are your interests?
-
What problem do you want to solve?
-
Where is the market?
-
Are there any topics that “only you can speak well”?
As for the topic planning part, you can start from job content or self-growth topics. The focus of doing so is not only in line with the positioning and tonality of BetweenGos, but also in line with the needs of many working women. As for brand consistency, start with visuals, themes and tone of voice.

Grace also mentioned the ways to monetize the content of BetweenGos, which are: advertising content (industry matching), lecture placement (in-depth communication) and course activities (TA needs). What’s interesting is that BetweenGos and 生生世书 have recently entered the course market, which also makes me curious: Is Taiwan’s education market really that big?
When it comes to finding uniqueness, Grace suggests that you start by building community appeal, that is, by establishing a sense of interaction, trust, and authenticity. For example, as a platform operator, you must treat readers as individuals and care about their needs regularly. Not only must you continue to appear in front of everyone, but you must also be able to solve their problems. Only in this way can you win the trust of readers and generate close interaction.

Finally, Grace also encouraged all practitioners to persevere and have the courage to try! She told everyone: “Don’t underestimate the power of accumulation. Please remember that the harvest a year from now starts every day.”
Don’t do nothing out of fear of failure. Only by constantly trying can we continue to make progress.
I especially like this sentence from Grace: “Please turn your unwillingness to be ordinary into practice.” Many people are “giants in thought and dwarfs in action.” I think that for practitioners execution is very important. Of course, don’t forget the process of thinking!
After listening to the forum for a whole afternoon, I felt like I had recharged myself with electricity. Thanks to Luke, Tuna and Grace for their wonderful sharing, the next step is to take action!
The so-called cultivation means to face every challenge and every fear, and to move forward bravely and face it head-on.
