Tonight, I am very happy to have the opportunity to attend the “[Profit Equation for Opening Classes](https://docs.google. com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScsGJ6uhtCGF1GwaWuco4c8k1Je6fiCxbMVwHEQbrebO8CPmg/viewf orm?fbclid=IwAR1u-_GvClTNU_mNZT6cM2kgPQlxDf_zXaDpKJlds7opAYtmQeZ88iGLuJ8)” course. As soon as I arrived at the event, I found that many familiar lecturers and friends were here. It seemed like there was a class reunion. It was really lively!

Just like the course syllabus listed by Teacher Elton on the registration form, this course mainly talks about five things, namely positioning, audience, pricing, marketing and mentality.

  • What is the business thinking of creating a market from scratch? About “#positioning”

  • Why are the people who come to class different from what you think? About “#audience”

  • Why are some courses destined to be unprofitable? About “#price”

  • How to promote courses in the simplest but most effective way? About “#marketing”

  • Why are you teaching this class? About “#MENTALITY”

These points resonate with me, because usually when I teach courses on Content Marketing, I will also start with segmentation and [Positioning](https://www.contenthacker.today/2018/ 04/how-to-deliver-the-perfect-speech.html) and setting target audience.

Teacher Elton talked about the positioning of course enrollment and suggested that everyone start from three points: narrowing the scope, expanding the target, and integrating majors. In fact, in terms of narrowing the scope, it is a bit like the concept of dimensional reduction strike.

If we use the “three-stage rocket” theory as an analogy, the first stage is to strive for head traffic, the second stage is to attract business scenarios for certain types of users, and the third stage must complete the business closed loop. The first-stage rocket is important, but the third-stage rocket cannot be underestimated, and is even more critical.

“[Profit formula for starting a course](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScsGJ6uhtCGF1GwaWuco4c8k1Je6fiCxbMVwHEQbrebO8CPmg/viewf orm?fbclid=IwAR1u-_GvClTNU_mNZT6cM2kgPQlxDf_zXaDpKJlds7opAYtmQeZ88iGLuJ8)” The characteristic of this course is that through many practical exercises in the classroom, students can think deeply. So, when I heard Teacher Elton talking about integrated majors, I started chatting with the co-founder of Hour Master Lu Yang (Captain Lu) who was sitting next to me.

Captain Lu’s recent “Personal Brand Alchemy” course has been well received and focuses on teaching students the development from zero to one, but how to do it from one to one hundred? At this time, perhaps you can combine the [Personal Branding Course] (https://www.contenthacker.today/2019/03/branding-yourself.html) and [Vista Writing Companion Program] (https://content.tw/vista/) that I have offered in the past.

In addition, Mr. Elton also pointed out that setting target audiences can be carried out through the three trilogy of needs, discovery and creation. When recruiting students for classes, it is natural to quote the best-selling author Simon. The [Golden Circle Rule] (https://www.thenewslens.com/article/4325) advocated by Simon O. Sinek starts with Why.

Simon Sinek believes that all successful leaders or brands in the world have one characteristic: the way they think, act and communicate follows the same rules. Simon Sinek calls this rule the “Golden Circle”. The three levels from the inside to the outside are why, how and what; why represents the concept and goals of the leader or brand, how is the method and process of executing the concept, and what represents the final product and leadership style. Successful leaders and brands in various industries start from the core concept - why, and think outward in the order of how and what.

If I were to use the Golden Circle Rule to talk about what I gained tonight, it would be that this class answered some of my doubts. Not only did I learn a lot about enrollment promotion and marketing methods, but I also found partners to form alliances with, which is great!
