I have thought about this question thousands of times, why do I like to look at the stars and the moon? Like to see the scenery of life? He even gave himself the nickname Vista. Now, I finally know…
Missing my father’s days
Today is April 30th, which is also my father’s birthday. Every year during this season, I always miss him so much. I always have many contradictory and complicated feelings about my father, an artist who was delayed by reality. When I was a child, I was afraid and hated my father. When I grew up, I gradually became able to understand my father’s state of mind and difficulties, but it was too late to appreciate him, leaving him with endless regrets.
Because of the compensatory leave for Labor Day, many people are on holiday today, but as “unfree workers”, they still go to the office to work as usual in the morning.
Opening YouTube, I suddenly heard the song “Answer” by Qi Yu⋯⋯
Why are the stars in the sky so crowded like a crowd?
Why are the people on earth as distant as stars?
This song was originally a work by the poet Luo Qing. The interesting thing is that although it is called “Answer”, many times in life there is actually no answer. Qi Yu’s clear singing voice can better express the reality and contradictions in the world.
When I heard this song and thought of my father in heaven, tears burst into my eyes.
Smallness in the vast universe
Facing the vastness of the universe, I always feel insignificant! So, when I first read this poem and heard this song, I was deeply impressed. Just like seeing the photo above called “Earthrise”, it always brings back many associations for me.
This is a photo taken by William Anders on the eve of my birth, during the first human flight around the moon.
He once said: “The boundless vastness of loneliness is awe-inspiring and awe-inspiring, reminding us that we can only have everything on earth.” Looking at the earth from space, we are no longer just a flat map, but a living planet with land, oceans and life.
If I look at my father from this perspective, maybe my serious and taciturn father is the planet I have always wanted to pursue, right? His talent is beyond my reach. My friend Rachel also said that it was because of my strict father that I became who I am today.
Although I didn’t get along with my father for long, his teachings were like the stars in the night. From fear, hatred to admiration and love, thank you for teaching me that even in the dark night, those attitudes and values that should be adhered to will eventually shine brightly.
The romance of reaching for the stars
Leo Burnett, the founder of the advertising agency Leo Burnett (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leo_Burnett) once said: “If you reach for the stars, even if you reach for the stars in vain, you will still reach for the dirt.”
Yes, reaching for the stars may sound naive, but it is a passionate belief that we, as creators, should uphold; perhaps, the world should have a little more romance like this!
The clouds are clear tonight and the wind is gentle, and I am so full of longing that I cannot roll it into a cigarette and smoke it, so I have no choice but to send some words, hoping that my father in heaven can read it…
I wish to be a mountain full of cuckoos Just for a spring without regrets I wish to be the stars Give it up for a summer night I wish to be thousands of rivers Flow to the only ocean I wish it was that month For you, complete again
