Yoga is a training that combines breathing, concentration and relaxation exercises and various postures to achieve the unity of body and mind. In the past, I not only studied in many schools and departments, but also liked to explore and learn on my own.

But I never dreamed that I would be so bold this spring and sign up for a yoga class regardless of life and death…Looking back now, it’s really interesting!

I still remember that when I took the first class, I felt really uneasy. I kept sweating during class and was worried that I would not be able to keep up with the yoga teacher. Even, I will feel… Oh my God, why does time pass so slowly? To be honest, at that time I was really worried about whether I could last until the end of class?

Looking for professional yoga teacher

Before I even started taking classes, I actually knew that yoga was an exercise suitable for both men and women. You only need to prepare a mat to start doing it, and it has many benefits. However, perhaps because I often teach, I know the importance of “leading the teacher in”. If I just watch the teaching videos on YouTube and follow the same example, I will not only easily go in the wrong direction, but also risk injury!

Well, if you get injured, it’s not worth the loss! So, I did some research online before signing up. Fortunately, I found a good yoga teacher. Although she looks very young, she has many years of teaching experience. She can see through my weaknesses in physical fitness at a glance and provide suggestions and improvement strategies for the deficiencies.

So far, I have taken three yoga classes. After each class, I feel like my bones are about to fall apart! But I have to say that yoga is very helpful in stretching the body and mind, and it feels very comfortable.

This week, the teacher began to teach me how to strengthen my legs and use twisting methods to increase the mobility of my core. In fact, I have always been self-aware, and I also understand that my level may not be as good as that of a kindergarten class, and it is always a little hard every time I do these actions. But I also know the importance of persistence and accumulation, so I am not in a hurry, and I slowly and quietly become aware. I practiced more when I had time, and slowly began to feel that I was making little progress.

Learn to talk to your body​​

In the past, I was always used to using quantitative methods for health management. For example, when I wear an Apple Watch on my hand, I will pay attention to whether I take 10,000 steps a day? And how many calories are consumed?

After starting yoga classes, it seemed like a new window opened for myself. Now, not only do I understand the importance of physical and mental balance, I also learn to try to talk to my body, listening and feeling with my heart. I think this is the help that yoga classes bring to me…
