What are knowledge cards? To put it simply, in this fragmented information age, we can use the visual method of integrating graphics and text on cards to effectively deliver and reproduce various core knowledge.
When it comes to knowledge cards or knowledge graph cards, friends who are trying them out for the first time may find them novel and cool, but for me, it is not much different from writing articles or making presentations. Having said that, the purpose of knowledge cards is not just to show off skills, but a way to effectively convey and deliver knowledge.
A long time ago, I have been involved in various exciting knowledge cards through WeChat official accounts or other content platforms (such as Zhihu, Jianshu, etc.). In addition to observing other people’s works and trying to learn design skills, it also made me realize that in this age of scarce attention, all kinds of high-quality content is actually more precious.
Although I am a lecturer who teaches [copywriting] (https://www.writing.cool) and often share the joy and importance of writing with students in class, I also understand the principle that “a picture is worth a thousand words” and we must make good use of content elements such as graphics, text, video, and audio to convey knowledge.
Therefore, since last year (2020), I have successively taken the physical courses of [Teacher Amy] (https://www.vistacheng.com/2020/12/knowledge-graphic-card.html) and the online training camp courses offered by [Teacher Xiaoxiao Sha] (https://www.vistacheng.com/2020/12/10-ways-to-grow-up.html). While I was studying, I also took the time to make some knowledge cards. I had previously designed a series of content marketing knowledge cards, which were also made available for everyone to download.
Recently, I was very happy to have the opportunity to participate in the second “21 Days of Playing with PPT and Making Knowledge Cards” training camp organized by TuYanKaYu in Taiwan. Thanks to Teacher Ivy for introducing this course to Taiwan, and also bringing a group of teaching assistants to assist everyone in practicing.

Most friends who come into contact with [Knowledge Cards] (https://amyslifesharing.com/ppt-card-design-of-knowledge/) for the first time will be amazed by these exquisite works, and even think about how to learn from the masters of card making, hoping that one day they can also make works that can keep pace with them. The original intention of learning is important, but I think there is something more important: the essence of knowledge cards is to refine knowledge crystals, and the visual presentation is to help the transfer and internalization of knowledge.
Therefore, it is not enough to be able to create eye-catching graphics and texts. We must return to the essence of content production, pay attention to the extraction of knowledge, and think carefully about how to effectively communicate and convey to the target audience?
As of today, just over half of this 21-day online training camp course has been completed. In addition to listening to Teacher Ivy’s sharing, communicating with teaching assistants and partners in the same group every day made me very interested in the application of knowledge cards, and also inspired many creative ideas.
