Time waits for no one, but recovery takes time

From being in a hurry to being proficient, helping my mother change her dressing for the first time

Today’s morning is the same as many days in the past, but it is different. Because today, I had my first experience in life - helping my mother change her dressing.

I have never formally studied nursing. Although the nurse gave careful guidance when I was in the hospital a few days ago, when it was actually my turn to do it, I was still a little uneasy. Where should I disinfect first? How to wrap gauze without being too tight? Will the mother feel uncomfortable during the dressing change process? These questions flashed through my mind quickly.

Although there was some confusion during the process, in the end, it was successfully completed. Seeing my mother nodding gently and saying that it felt good, I felt relieved. Only then did I discover that some things may seem simple, but when you actually do them, you will know the details and challenges involved.

Changing dressing is not only a technical issue, but also a mental exercise. When you take care of your family, you have to learn to overcome your own fears, learn to be attentive, and learn how to provide real help to others when they need it. This is a kind of learning and a responsibility, and I believe that I will only do better in the future.

The long wait in the hospital brings peace of mind

After taking care of things at home, I took a bus to the Songshan Branch of the Tri-Service General Hospital to see the orthopedic clinic to check the foot injury that had been bothering me for a while.

The wait in the hospital is always long. It took an hour and a half from the time I checked in until it was my turn to enter the clinic, but the time I actually got to see the doctor was only a few minutes. The doctor looked over the X-rays and said calmly: “It’s nothing serious, just conservative treatment.” Then he ended the diagnosis and treatment.

I stood in front of the payment window and waited for half an hour. I didn’t bring back any medicine or ointment this time, but at least I got peace of mind. Sometimes, the role of the hospital, in addition to treatment, is to provide a sense of psychological security.

During this time, my foot injury limited my mobility, so I had to pay special attention every time I went out. But as the situation gradually improved, I began to miss the days when I could walk freely, and even the ultra-jogging I was used to before. This injury made me realize again that the freedom of our feet is a precious gift that we often overlook. When it becomes difficult for you to walk, you will realize that the most ordinary things in daily life are worthy of gratitude.

I hope that soon I will be able to walk on that familiar road again and let my body feel the joy of free flow.

The upgrade of life is not just technology, but also mentality

There is another special thing today - I finally got a new mobile phone!

The clerk smiled and said, “Wow, this is a direct upgrade from an ordinary train to a high-speed train!” This sentence made me couldn’t help but laugh. Indeed, it has been a long time since I last changed my mobile phone.

The upgrade of mobile phones means faster execution speed and smoother operating experience, but from another perspective, the upgrade of life is not only technology, but also mentality. In the past, I might have been hesitant to change certain habits and accept new challenges, but now I am willing to adapt to changes and embrace growth.

Life will not stagnate, technology will not stagnate, and our mentality should not stagnate either. As long as you are willing to try new things and adapt to new environments, you have the opportunity to get better every day.

The power of learning together makes growth no longer lonely

Today, the paid community “Growth Circle” welcomed several new friends to join.

The concept of this community is simple - let people with common goals learn, communicate and progress together. In this era, the power of individuals is limited, but when a group of like-minded people come together to share experiences and inspire each other, then everyone’s progress can become faster and more solid.

This reminds me that many times, when we encounter bottlenecks in life, it is not because we don’t work hard enough, but because we lack companions. When you know that someone is walking the same path as you, when you know that someone is also trying to break through their own limits, that kind of psychological support will become the driving force to push you forward.

Today, I see more people choosing to join this learning circle, which makes me more convinced that learning is a lifelong matter, and companionship is the best nutrient for growth.

Time waits for no one, but we can choose how to move forward

Today is a day about adapting, learning and growing. From taking care of my mother, learning to change dressings, to waiting for the doctor’s diagnosis and treatment, to upgrading my life and making my studies more companionable, these big and small things connect my thoughts and feelings today.

Time keeps moving and we can’t stop it. But we can decide whether we want to stagnate or move forward during this time.

Time waits for no one. Treasure every moment you have.

My foot injury is recovering, and my thesis has not been started yet, but it doesn’t matter. As long as I am better today than I was yesterday, then this day will be worthwhile.

I look forward to next time, when I can take steps again, not only will my steps become brisk, but my state of mind will also become more calm and determined.
