June 19, 2021

Recently I saw a friend mention on Facebook that due to the raging epidemic, I haven’t been to a bookstore for a long time! Seeing this, I was also shocked: Yes, I used to go to the bookstore almost every three days, but it has been more than a month since I visited the Sanmin Bookstore next to the MRT Zhongshan Junior High School Station, or the small bookstore in the Minsheng Community!

Fortunately, from time to time I receive books as gifts from the publishing house, which replenish my spiritual food. Thank you very much.

Today, I received another new book from the publisher. When I opened the package, I saw that it was “[Mind Map Memory Study Notes for Primary and Secondary School Students: An Essential Tool for Children’s Reading Examinations” written by teacher Huzi Li Wu (real name Li Zhongfeng)! Double your reading efficiency and gain a full sense of accomplishment! )》.

Speaking of mind maps, I am no stranger. In fact, I usually like to use mind maps to generate ideas and organize information.

According to Wikipedia’s Introduction, mind mapping was developed by the British [Tony Buzan] (ht tps://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%89%98%E5%B0%BC%C2%B7%E5%B8%83%E8%A9%B9) is an auxiliary thinking tool proposed in the 1970s. A mind map draws related objects based on a theme on a flat surface, like a map of the heart and its surrounding blood vessels, so it is called a “mind map”. Since this method of expression is closer to people’s spatial imagination when thinking than pure text, it is increasingly used by everyone in the creative thinking process.

A mind map uses a central keyword or idea to connect all representative words, ideas, tasks or other related items in radiating lines. It can use different methods to express people’s ideas, such as quotation type, visible visualization type, construction system type and classification type. It is commonly used in research, organization, problem solving, and policy formulation.

And “Mind Map Memory Study Notes for Primary and Secondary School Students: An Essential Tool for Children’s Reading Exams!” Double your reading efficiency and gain a full sense of accomplishment! ”, Mr. Hu Liwu, the author of the book, applies it to the education of primary and secondary school students.

[Teacher Beard Li Wu] (https://www.facebook.com/mindmapgift) is a passionate teacher dedicated to promoting mind maps. He is good at applying creative associative teaching methods to stimulate the flexible operation of the left and right brains and promote efficient thinking of the brain. He believes that through the practice of mind mapping, children can build new thinking skills, which will be of great use in reading exams, creative thinking and life, and they can face the challenges of the new era with ease!

Mind Map Memory Study Notes for Primary and Secondary School Students: An Essential Tool for Children’s Reading Exams!” Double your reading efficiency and gain a full sense of accomplishment! 》This book is printed in full color and the texture is quite good. The author uses easy-to-understand explanations and practical teaching cases to share the advantages, usage, application aspects, and drawing techniques of mind maps with readers. Even friends who are exposed to mind maps for the first time can quickly get started and open up unlimited possibilities for thinking and learning.

A complete mind map is a carefully thought-out thought map. The extended branches may seem complicated, but they are actually very easy to understand! The author breaks down the steps of drawing a mind map, and uses guided questions to guide readers to think, and then draw them on the mind map, making making a mind map simple and uncomplicated, and everyone can easily get started!

Teacher Hu Li Wu said: “Mind mapping is a tool to help the brain integrate thinking. As long as you make good use of it, you can enhance your integration ability.” I also agree with this statement, so I usually like to use the software [XMind] (https://www.xmind.net/) to draw mind maps. If I’m outdoors, or in some situation where I don’t have access to a computer, I’ll take out pen and paper and draw a mental map.

In fact, the application level of mind maps is quite wide. For example, I not only like to use [Mind Map](https://www.vistacheng.com/search/label/Mind Map) to come up with new projects, but I also use it to organize reading notes. Friends who are interested can refer to several articles that have been written.

I sincerely recommend Teacher Hu Li Wu’s new book “[Mind Map Memory Study Notes for Primary and Secondary School Students: An Essential Tool for Children’s Reading Exams!” Double your reading efficiency and gain a full sense of accomplishment! )”, I also welcome everyone to use mind maps.

If you want to know more about the application skills of mind maps, I am also happy to recommend “[Techniques of Dismantling Mind Maps: 27 Exercises to Quickly Output Thinking and Creativity]” (https://www.books.com) written by my friend Zhao Yincheng .tw/exep/assp.php/vista/products/0010888270?utm_source=vista&utm_medium=ap-books&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-202106)》book. The core feature of this book is to teach readers “thinking skills”, how to output the vague thoughts, ideas and hidden inspirations in the brain into concrete and visible content through mind maps.

By the way, if you are interested in mind maps or notes, you are also welcome to join the “I love writing notes” community. This is a Facebook group that I established three years ago. It was run by Buddhists before (that is, it was not deliberately run), so the number of people in the group at this time last year was less than 1,500, but unexpectedly it is about to exceed the 50,000 mark.

I am really happy to see so many people who like to write notes. Welcome to join us!
