I have been running a blog for more than ten years, and writing articles has become a must-do task every day. After writing for a long time, I feel very accustomed to it, and it is as natural as eating and drinking. But I also know that not every friend likes to write blogs - some people are too busy to write, but there may be more friends who are struggling to find topics, or think that their writing skills are not good, so they have been unable to develop the habit of writing.

Yesterday, I met with a lecturer friend whom I know well. In addition to chatting about each other’s current situation, I was also interested in whether she could continue to operate her blog? As a result, this friend excitedly told me that writing articles really helped her work! Not only the traffic of the blog has improved greatly, but orders have also begun to come from the blog…

To be honest, I’m not surprised by this result. On the one hand, because the structure of the blog itself is inherently conducive to search engine optimization (SEO), the articles written by this lecturer friend in the past can be easily retrieved by crawlers of search engines such as Google, and can then be provided to netizens in need.

On the other hand, it is also because this friend has deliberately trained herself to systematically write the professional knowledge in her mind into opinions that are helpful to readers. Over time, not only has she slowly accumulated the reputation of her personal brand, but she has also established a trusting relationship between her and her target audience bit by bit.

This also confirms what I said before, “The focus of running a blog is not actually traffic, but the ability to share one’s opinions with others and then build a trusting relationship with readers and friends.” I think, especially for professionals, the trust relationship is far more important than traffic. After all, not everyone can have high traffic when writing blog articles, so there is no need to have the myth of traffic, but we need to strive to write good articles first!

Write down something you believe in and have a deep understanding of.

He Feipeng, CEO of Citystate Media Holdings Group, once said: “To be called a professional, at least three elements must be present: professionalism, professional ethics and professional ability.”

To be honest, it is not easy to achieve the above three requirements. But in addition to continuous learning and self-enrichment, if professionals can run their own blogs and develop the habit of continuous writing, I think it can add a lot of points to their professional abilities!

This is because when you start writing blog posts, you have the opportunity to train your output skills. I know many professionals who want to build a successful personal brand and get a lot of publicity, but don’t know where to start? I believe that if you want to be discovered or noticed by the outside world, the first step is to take stock of the resources at hand and train yourself to provide unique perspectives and value.

Of course, running a blog is the starting point for professionals to build their personal brand. Although some friends will open fan pages on Facebook, they may not be able to reach enough people due to the algorithm, so it is still necessary to operate their own “home field”.

If you can start blogging now, you will naturally have a good reason to be honest with yourself and the readers; some friends may feel that their writing is not good, but this can be improved and strengthened through deliberate practice. If you really need expert assistance, you may also consider signing up for the third phase of the “Vista Writing Companion Program” starting in July this year.

I would like to suggest that friends with expertise, after setting up their own blogs, should not only write down their experiences in different aspects such as work and life, but also be able to systematically output their own insights and opinions. In this way, not only can you train your logical thinking and communication skills, but you can also convey valuable information to readers and friends, which can be said to complement each other.

If you have any questions about running a blog, I will be happy to provide some assistance. You are welcome to contact!
