Recently, many friends have discussed with me issues related to building a personal brand or setting up websites and blogs. Whether we want to build a personal brand or run a blog, we all need a domain name that is easy to remember and catchy.
I will share with you how to choose a good domain name in the “Building My Personal Brand” lecture held on April 16th. Today, through this article, I will briefly share with you some tips on choosing a domain name!
First of all, the domain name must be meaningful, and it will be better if it can be combined with keywords. For example, some people like to register under their own names. For example, I also registered a website called VistaCheng.com, and also registered a simpler website called Vista.vc.
Secondly, the domain name should not be too long. If you can register a URL that is simple and easy to remember quickly, it will be like grabbing a good house number in a popular area. It is a great thing. Some friends will insist on embedding a string of keywords into it. In fact, this does not make much sense, and netizens may not remember it!
As for the suffix URL, some people say [it is best to choose .com as the suffix domain name](https://medium.com/@flipweb/%E5%B9%BE%E5%80%8B%E6%96%B9%E6%B3%95%E6%95%99%E6%82 I also agree with this. After all, .com is of extraordinary value. However, I don’t think you have to be rigid about registering to .com. Just like the domain name suffix of the website “Content Hacker” is .today, there is nothing wrong with it!
Finally, I would like to provide you with a few more suggestions:

In terms of search engine optimization (SEO), the age of a domain name is also an important indicator. The more senior the domain name, the higher the score.
