The Korean writer Yoo Han-bin is a veterinarian. She originally just wanted to scroll on her mobile phone after get off work and be an ordinary office worker who just wanted to lie down at home. Nowadays, in addition to his main career, he is active in South Korea as a YouTuber, online course instructor, actor and note product designer. It is really amazing!

How does she manage time well? The answer can be found in “Atomic Time: The Miracle 4 Hours in the Night, Change Your Life, Double Your Income, Time Management Evidence for Social Animal Veterinarians”. I would like to take this opportunity to share with you the recommendation preface I wrote for this book:

Everyone needs time management

Searching for the keyword “time management” on Google yields 1.16 billion pieces of information, which shows that there is a lot of relevant information on the Internet. Having said that, “time management” is also a soft skill that many modern people are eager to understand and learn.

There are countless books on “time management” in the market. What is more interesting is that over the years, we can also find that professionals with different identities, including entrepreneurs, scholars, doctors, and entertainers, have written relevant books. From this point of view, it also highlights that “time management” is a very life-oriented subject, which can be said to be closely related to everyone.

When it comes to “time management”, everyone may be familiar with it and know its importance. Everyone even has a lot of stories (or bitterness) to tell! So, since this is a subject we are all familiar with, why do we need to read a book written by a Korean veterinarian in particular?

Vet slash YouTuber

You may have never heard of Yoo Han-bin before. In addition to being a knowledgeable veterinarian, what’s even more impressive is that she is able to take a break from her busy schedule and make full use of her off-duty time to develop her own interests. She produces one video per week and became a well-known [YouTuber] in South Korea in just a few months (https://www.contenthacker.today/2018/02/fans-economy-youtuber-part1.html)!

It’s not like most office workers who, after a hard day, are so tired when they get home that they just want to relax or watch TV shows. Liu Hanbin, the author of this book, pointed out that her wonderful second life is after get off work. Therefore, after having dinner after work, she immediately started the second phase of her day.

She spends a lot of time on shooting, editing and post-production of videos. At the same time, because of her work, she usually joins forums to improve her work ability, or reads a lot of papers and materials, and she also continues to read books.

You might think that she is a night owl who always has to stay up late to get so much done, right? In fact, this is not the case. The author of this book attaches great importance to a regular life schedule, so he goes to bed around 11 o’clock in the evening in order to reserve physical strength to prepare for the next day.

Well, after seeing this, you may be curious! Does the author have an easy job during the day? When most people are too busy to do anything, why is she still able to do so with ease and have the time and energy to do so many things?

Create a sense of ritual from repetitive tasks

In fact, she is no different from us, except that she has mastered several key points of “time management”. For example, many people are chased by “important and urgent” tasks and are exhausted every day. On the other hand, the author of this book can stick to the three stages of formulating a routine plan, that is, starting from establishing small things. Don’t underestimate these little things, if you can continue to do them, they will also help develop habits.

She repeats tasks at the same time every day, which also helps to establish a sense of ritual. It is like the author editing videos at night and sticking to the time period she has set. She will go to bed when it is time to go to bed without deliberately going to bed late.

I really appreciate the author’s “time management” principle: don’t aim to do well, but aim to do it for a long time.

You know, rather than pursuing temporary perfection, perseverance is often more critical. By the way, she also has a work philosophy that is worth following, that is: do the things you like seriously, and make the things you hate simple.

Taking myself as an example, I like reading and writing, and I often study the development trends of various digital marketing. No matter how busy you are, you will always allow yourself to set aside some time to be alone and do things that interest you.

Summary

It is true that in this busy society, everyone is often tasked with many arduous tasks, but these tasks are not necessarily ones that they are willing to take on. Therefore, we can learn from the author and treat the things we like with a serious attitude. As for those annoying and annoying tasks, we can try to make them simple and strive to complete them as soon as possible!

If you want to develop across fields in the post-epidemic era and want to do “time management” well, I am happy to recommend “[Atomic Time: The Miraculous 4 Hours in the Night, Change Your Life, Double Your Income, Time Management Evidence from Social Animal Veterinarians]” (https://www.books.com.tw/produc ts/0010904932?utm_source=vista&utm_medium=ap-books&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-202111)》This is a great book for you.
