Tenderness and Resilience: Embracing the Strength Within

Tenderness and Resilience: Embracing the Strength Within

Daily progress comes from repeated attempts and adaptations

This morning, I still started by helping my mother change her dressing. I was able to smoothly complete every step of changing the dressing, and my mother’s wound was recovering steadily.

But the key change today came from a trip to the bank.

After entering the door and waiting for a while, a clerk guided me to start handling related business through a tablet computer. Since I have never used these services before, I need to register again, and of course face recognition is inevitable! Looking at myself in the camera reminds me of the experience of using a new mobile phone a few days ago, which also required similar procedures.

Will human contact really be gradually replaced by these efficient digital processes?

AI does not replace people, but redefines where people should focus their energy.

This may be the core concept of Digital Transformation in many industries.

Challenges in the academic field come from choices for the future

In the afternoon, I chatted with two doctoral students for a while. They have their first qualifying exam tomorrow, and my second qualifying exam is waiting for me in May.

But now, the progress of my thesis is still stagnant, and I have even begun to ask myself: “Is it time to give up on this thesis?”

This is perhaps a struggle that all doctoral students encounter—when progress is slow, when pressure mounts, giving up seems like an easy choice. But the real question is not “should I give up?” but “will I regret it after giving up?”

At this moment, I decided that no matter how hard I struggled, I would persevere. Because every piece of writing and every advancement in research direction is laying the foundation for the future. And this future is not just a doctorate, but also the ability to think deeply and create value.

When the opportunity comes, are we ready?

This surprised me because it meant there was a new opportunity coming.

In the past few years, I have been paying attention to the development of digital content, especially AI This seminar is undoubtedly a good platform for me to share my observations and thoughts on this field.

This reminds me that challenges and opportunities in life always coexist. We can’t be ready every time, but we can choose to quickly adjust our pace when the opportunity comes and put ourselves on a higher stage.

Action is the beginning of change

At the end of today, I drew a Tarot card - the appearance of the Woman card, which gave me a new perspective on thinking. Gentleness is not an escape, but a way of persistence; action is the beginning of change.

The softness represented by the woman card is not fragility, but a strength that can adapt to the environment and move forward steadily.

This day’s experience reinforced my belief that success does not come from waiting for the perfect moment, but from the courage to start right away.

Whether it is academics, career, or life choices, the real challenge is never “whether you can do it”, but “whether you are willing to start.”

Are you willing to choose to start now with me?
