“The Most Productive Year” is the research experience compiled by Chris Bailey after a year of efficiency improvement experiments. Although it was published in 2016, many reading clubs have recently used it as a guide. Tonight (April 26)Vista[Book Club](https://www.vistab ook.club/2018/04/improving-business-productivity.html?utm_source=line&utm_medium=line&utm_campaign=link&utm_content=link) is not only a storyteller, but what I gain more is Vista sharing his own working methods and common tools.
For me, 2017 was pretty much a year where the candle was burned at both ends. On the one hand, I have to expand my business, on the other hand, I have to develop products, and I also work as a cadre in the community after get off work. I often feel like I am always being chased by everyone. Over time, work delays, depression, and physical exhaustion will inevitably occur…
In fact, in the VUCA era, this is a very common phenomenon. Technological innovation has triggered rapid changes in industries and lifestyles, requiring agile organizations to quickly respond to market changes. Therefore, work and life have become increasingly difficult to separate, and managing one’s own energy and concentration is the real focus.
To have better energy, let yourself get enough sleep!
- Avoid using electronic products before going to bed.
- Avoid caffeine and alcohol before bed.
Have better focus and avoid distractions.
- Stay away from distractions such as electronic products, Facebook or LINE.
- Make good use of Pomodoro Technique to make yourself more focused.
Have better energy and learn to think positively.
- Meditate for 30 minutes to settle inner troubles.
- Learn mindfulness and face challenges with a positive attitude.
After talking about energy, energy and concentration, the next step is work and time management. In the past, the time management rule that everyone was familiar with was nothing more than listing tasks and classifying them according to priority. Coincidentally, the author of this book also advocates the concept of “beginning with the end in mind and putting first things first”.
Start with the end in mind, first things first, and list the three most important things.
Set GPS:
- Goal Confirm the goal
- Points capture the key points
- Steps to list jobs
Work management:
- Delete ineffective work.
- List the three most important things and ask yourself to concentrate on completing them first.
- Establish clear work steps.
Time management, track the time spent on important things.
Time management:
*Physiological prime time: think and create when you are energetic; do routine tasks when you are weak.
- Exchange money for time: Subcontract to outsourcing and errand workers in different time zones.
- Concentrate on trivial matters: Use a certain period of time to deal with all trivial matters at once.
Track results:
- Tracking the time spent is very important, because it can help us effectively check whether we have really spent time on it and prioritized completing them. For example, you can use tools like Toggl, Rescue Time to track what you did in the past hour?
Weekly tracking and review:
- Clear your inbox.
- Review your morning diary.
- View calendar.
- Think about mission actions.
- Review annual plans.

Now that we’ve talked about the concepts, let’s share the super easy-to-use management methods provided by Vista and other partners:
- Network management: After receiving the business card, write a letter to the other party on the same day.

- Expenses: Use the App to keep accounts at any time.

Recently, I often ask Vista for professional advice on personal branding and content hacking. Today is the first time I have participated in Vista teacher’s reading meeting. I have learned a lot and enriched myself tonight, and it has given me a deeper understanding of the issues of energy, time, work and efficiency.
Although these topics sound complicated, when writing this article, I unexpectedly found that it is not as difficult as I imagined. It is easy to do with a little thought. Well, I also look forward to becoming more energetic in the future and able to enjoy life and work more efficiently.
