For me, if the focus of July is mainly on the six online writing classes “Write Your Own Story” launched in cooperation with UDN Orange Generation, then the highlight of August is the “First Graphic and Text Creation Training Camp” (https://creationcamp.vstar.school/)!
This weekend, our graphic creation training camp will officially start! In order to provide students with the most complete learning information, I recently started designing a briefing, and today I also recorded a video with the theme of “Strategic Thinking in Content Production.”
I will also take this opportunity to talk to you about a few things about creation! When many people hear that they want to start writing or drawing, they may immediately turn on the computer at hand or even start searching for information without thinking. To be honest, it was easy for me to fall into this misunderstanding in the past, but this approach may not be ideal! Therefore, it is recommended that you calmly think about the relevant countermeasures before starting to create.
Think carefully: What is your purpose of producing content? And which groups are these contents intended for?
In the past, many friends have asked me: “What is creation?”
In fact, you can think of writing as a small journey that accompanies readers. Let’s take the writing of product copy as an example. A successful product copy will often comprehensively reflect all of your experience and professional knowledge. It will also help you process this information and convey it to the target audience for the purpose of selling products, services or other purposes.
Therefore, the focus of content production is not only to tell the key points you want to promote, but also to think from the readers’ perspective and write out the features, advantages and possible benefits that they are interested in.
Having said that, if you want to cultivate your creativity in content production, it is not enough to write a good article or make a picture lifelike. Many times, we have to take into account many aspects, such as: perspective, meaning, readers, value, theme, creativity and inspiration.
I would like to remind you that you must think from the reader’s perspective and choose your creative topics carefully. At the same time, we must try to cultivate our own unique perspectives to bring meaning and value. For creative novices, I think there is no need to force creativity and inspiration, but to slowly find ways to coexist with inspiration and effectively use creativity in the process of creation.
When it comes to the process of writing, many friends may immediately frown, because although we have known “start, transfer, transfer” since we were children, I guess many friends still don’t know how to write, right?
So when talking about content production, I have developed a new creative process for your reference:
- Observe the current situation.
- Say what you feel.
- Find meaning.
- Take action.

For example, if you want to write a diary about life during the epidemic, where can you start?
Well, if you have been to a convenience store recently, you will probably find something different from the past, right? As you can imagine, many businesses have made thorough preparations and response measures during the recent epidemic prevention period. In addition to scanning the QR Code for SMS verification, customers who come to the door need to have their temperature taken to confirm that they do not have a fever before they can enter and consume. Not only must social distance be maintained when in the store, but many customers do not dare to linger after paying.
Can you describe the various phenomena you have observed one by one? Next, can you try to find some unique meanings from these phenomena? Finally, organize these clues and write them into an organized and structured article. Of course, you should also remember to include a Call To Action (Call To Action) in your article, so that readers can follow your instructions.
