Speaking of Daniel. Pink(Daniel H. Pink) This internationally renowned best-selling author should be familiar to everyone. After launching “The talents the future is waiting for”, “Motivation , Pure Power” and “[The sales talents the future is waiting for] ](https://www.books.com.tw/exep/assp.php/vista/products/0010581434?utm_source=vista&utm_medium=ap-books&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-201806)” and other best-selling books, recently published a book dedicated to exploring The new book “When is a good time” discusses “timing” (https://www.books.com.tw/exep/assp.php/vista/products/0010787846?utm_source=vista&utm_medium=ap-books&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-201806).
This book caught my attention when it first appeared in the American publishing market. Because in this era of fragmentation, everyone is easily attracted by all kinds of colorful information and becomes distracted. Therefore, we should manage our time and energy well and protect our precious concentration.
So when I discovered Daniel. Pink wrote this book “When is the Good Time”, and he was very curious about the content of this book. I was very happy to hear that Chuchuan Culture introduced this good book to Taiwanese readers, and I quickly read the entire book. I was even more surprised to find that some of my usual behavioral patterns echoed with this book.
Know your chronotype
Many people want to increase productivity, but often feel at a loss. Daniel. In the book “When is a Good Time”, Pink tells everyone that not all human beings experience a day’s life in exactly the same way. Each of us has different talents and personalities, and also has a completely different “chronotype”. These personal behavioral patterns that follow day and night schedules will also affect our physiology and psychology.
Daniel. Pink divided people into larks, owls, and a third type of bird, thereby distinguishing people’s accustomed work and rest times and behavioral patterns. He also puts forward suggestions in the book, encouraging everyone to find the daily time that best suits them by answering questions.
During a long day, we all inevitably experience three stages: peaks, troughs, and rebounds. After knowing your own time pattern and preferred work and rest time, you should know how to seize the right time and engage in the most productive and effective work.
For example, the composer [Tchaikovsky](https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%BD%BC%E5%BE%97%C2%B7%E4%BC%8A%E9%87 %8C%E5%A5%87%C2%B7%E6%9F%B4%E5%8F%AF%E5%A4%AB%E6%96%AF%E5%9F%BA) usually gets up at seven or eight in the morning, and then reads, Drink tea and take a walk. At half past nine, he would sit down at the piano and compose for several hours. Then have a lunch break and take another walk in the afternoon. At five o’clock he would return to the piano and work for several hours before dinner at eight o’clock in the evening.

In addition to napping, listening to music and reading, he also maintains the habit of going out for one hour of exercise.
After reading this book, I am even more convinced that I should be a so-called “skylark” person. Being accustomed to early morning hours, I like to record my morning diary when the sun shines into my study, or turn on my computer to write blog posts. Many articles on the “Content Hacker” website were written by me in the early morning before I started working.
The importance of rest and rhythm
The author of this book not only tells us what to do when, but also tells us the importance of rest. For example, the rest list mentioned in the book also made me very emotional after reading it. In the process of our pursuit of life achievements, it is more important to be able to achieve a balance between life and work. Therefore, establishing your own sense of ritual and suitable rhythm is far more critical than blindly pursuing speed!
If you want to improve your work efficiency and move towards success, let us start by establishing a fast and slow pace of life! Of course, I would also be happy to recommend Daniel to you. Pink’s great book “When is a good time”.
